Virgin TV BAFTA Television Awards Red Carpet Roundup

There were many more stars on the red carpet of the Virgin TV BAFTA Television Awards in London on Sunday (May 14).

Ella Eyre: The young singer-songwriter embraced the girly joys of pink tulle in this Molly Goodard frock, which was the sartorial incarnation of cotton candy. Silver metallic Sophia Webster sandals added more shine to the sweet look that Ella managed so well despite its sugary qualities.

Ophelia Lovibond: Also pretty in pink, Ophelia’s Vilshenko tiered ruffle gown was of a slightly more subdued form. Yet the delicate femininity of form was lovely on her, with her soft tendrils of hair only enhancing the effect.

Emily Berrington: The deep emerald colour of this Antonio Berardi Pre-Fall 2017 gown was stunning on Emily. I just wish the fit of the dress had been a bit more well-tailored to her silhouette and height for additional polish.

Vanessa Kirby: This Burberry tulle gown held much enchantment with its periwinkle blue hue and soft cloud-like form. However, was anyone else left with the impression that it was just about to slide right off her bust?

Michaela Coel
: Michaela’s dress may have been made by her mum, but the perfect fit and the punchy richness of pattern and colour made it designer quality.

Tuppence Middleton: The darker, more gothic side of the design house of Erdem came out to play in this Pre-Fall 2017 gown crafted of floral lace.

Anna Friel
: The actress channeled a spirited youthfulness in her black and white, tea-length lace frock. The graphic sandals were troublesome to me, as a different shoe might have lent a more age-appropriate sophistication factor.

Leomie Anderson: The signature sultry appeal of Atelier Versace came out to play in this white gown styled with Giuseppe Zanotti sandals and a Charles & Keith clutch.

Charlotte Riley: Indeed, this Prabal Gurung embellished gown was best viewed from the side with its dramatic slit—and Charlotte worked the side pose to its full advantage.

Millie Brady:
This Burberry gown certainly had potential with its dainty, dimensional embellishment. However, the styling did it not favours with the stark black pumps. Plus, her hair would have been better in a sleek updo given the sleeves of the dress.
