Allison Williams In Diane von Furstenberg – 2017 Met Gala

‘Girls’ star Allison Williams attended the 2017 Met Gala on Monday (May 1).

The actress wore a fluid white Diane von Furstenberg gown

For me, this gown ties in to the theme with its yin and yang nature: The whole thing has a duality I’m loving. It’s understated, yet completely statement-making. It’s fluid yet structural; it’s feminine with a touch of masculinity in the tux-inspired bustier. In short, an editorial dream!

I’m also absolutely swooning over this hair and makeup effect on Allison, since she so often goes much  more subdued than this. The over-the-top cat eye is almost campy, but stops just short of ‘going there’, and the result is something fun and daring for the actress.

What are your thoughts on Allison’s look?

The dress is stunning and so chic, I love it! However on the close-up picture, the whole make-up and hair + the dress make her look way older than she really is and sickly, which is quite sad.

    I like this.

This will be an unpopular opinion, but I think she looks ill and frail. I understand that many women are naturally skinny and they deserve the same respect as anyone else, I am not body-shaming (as I don’t think there’s any shame in being skinny). Alison’s always been very slim, but honestly, I think she looks ill here. The dress is beautiful and the make-up is a bit harsh, but I like that she went in a new direction. Peace x

I agree with the others. The makeup and hairstyle are truly aging.

Ots not jist that the color of her hair ages her but she just got too thin, almost unhealthily so. She was not like this…I’m actually wondering if it’s for a role .I hope she goes back to her original hair color.

Another dress where I would of said she looks terrific, if it was another event. Another day….
Its a pretty dress with a pretty styling.

I love the dress but the fit at the top is off for me.

I agree the hair and makeup are so aging – kind of brutal.

Everything about her lately, but especially the hair, ages her terribly.

I agree – chic outfit but at first glance I thought it was Judith Light (and whilst she is very elegant she is at least 30 years older than Alison)!

Agreed! The blonde hair and that makeup adds about 10 or 15 years to her.

very pretty. I wish the white part went more in the architectural direction.

I’m not as excited. It’s nice but not enough of statement here, missing that special extra spark that would make it a theme-related gala-worthy knockout.

She needs to go back to brunette. Alison has a pretty but hard, thin face, and any color but brunette ages her, and we all know Hollywood hates aging.

The outfit is classic but for this event and also for the theme, very boring.

The makeup makes her look old. Not liking this at all

It’s not really on theme for me, but who cares when she looks THIS CHIC! Love!
