Blake Lively In Marchesa – 2017 Time 100 Gala

Blake Lively attended the 2017 Time 100 Gala on Tuesday (April 25) in New York City with her husband Ryan Reynolds as the couple gear up for Cannes Film Festival next month.

I don’t need to remind you that I’m a huge fan of Blake’s style, but unfortunately I couldn’t get on board with the look from Marchesa Fall 2017 dress.

Firstly it pales into comparison with her Brandon Maxwell sleek offering from the weekend, but secondly, and most importantly, there is just too much going on.

Shave off those multi-colour fringes. Get rid of the cape and perhaps I would’ve looked at this more favourably.

This is really not looking good. Very unflattering on her. Widens her wayyy too much. Messy dress, messy hair. Just no.

I actually love this look ! But maybe not the best photo, if you see pictures insides the event and not on the red carpet, the elements (jewelry, hair, makeup etc…) are very well put together.

I actually love this. This is just not a good photo. The dress is amazing and she wears it well.

I actually really like the dress…I feel like a model on the red carpet could pull it off. Or Florence Welch.

I agree, this would be much better without those fringes.

My only issue is the hair. This is a statement dress so a sleeker hairstyle was required in my opinion. I get what she was trying to put forward with this dress though. A sense of a laid back charm with prints and statement jewelry. Unfortunately i don’t think it translates well in this photo.

I saw her in other photos and she looks fine, but I don’t know what are happening in this photo looks much more spanish folk, not in a good way.

Can we make a petition for Mrs. Reynolds to STOP wearing anything from the house of Marchesa??

Uh yeah, this is a huge NO.

Not a good look especially when she was just a plus one to this event.

Just a ugly dress on both model and Blake

The model pulls it off, but it just looks mumsy and “folkloric” on Blake, def. a no.

      folkloric is the right term

This is messy from h2t. Hair, earrings, dress, shoes…it is all wrong and not even Blake can save it. Just terrible.
