Christian Dior Fall 2017 Front Row

Paris Fashion Week is in full tilt, with the Christian Dior Fall 2017 presentation on Friday (March 3) one of the highly anticipated shows on the calendar. A flurry of Dior-dressed beauties were seated front and centre for the runway action.

Rihanna: Parisian chic with plenty of edge, Rihanna wore a Christian Dior Spring 2017 ensemble. The gracefully tailored coat-dress simply served as the canvas for the drama of her statement accessories that put the power into this look, beginning with the leather beret and J’ADIOR shades and ending with the patent cross-body bag and embellished suede boots.

Uma Thurman: Tailored sophistication was presented in this Dior Pre-Fall 2017 ensemble with the brush of the floral tulle skirt adding a softer femininity to the look.

Sienna Miller
: Also donning a Pre-Fall 2017 look, the actress managed the oversized layers and heady mix of floral motifs quite beautifully while maintaining her typically bohemian sensibility.

Rosamund Pike: The simplicity of this white collared frock took away none of its youthful charm, with a sharper sass added in the mismatched dagger earrings and black stilettos.

Clémence Poésy: Effortlessly classic, the structured tweed jacket gave way to the fluidity of the wide-leg pant.

Ruth Wilson
: A linear ombre effect made for a rosy array of colours on this plisse dress that could have used a bit more support in the bust.

Alicia Keys: Keeping her look on more casual ground, the singer played the cool-girl card in this suit and trouser combo. Given the all-black palette, the cat-eye shades, hoop earrings and patterned sandals really popped.

Haley Bennett: While this white lace frock was pretty enough, there was something about the whole picture that had a rather lacklustre, daresay aging effect. I partially blame the makeup.

Olivia Palermo: Showing how black can be far from boring, Olivia struck a pose in an expertly layered look with the belt at the waist creating shape underneath the overcoat. I love how her berry lip and manicure brought a deep vibrancy to the look.

Both Rihanna and Olivia’s looks caught my eye for their stylistic interpretations of all-black ensembles. What was your favourite?
