Emma Stone In Givenchy by Riccardo Tisci – 2017 Vanity Fair Oscar Party

Emma Stone attended the 2017 Vanity Fair Oscar party on Sunday (February 26) with the Best Actress Oscar she collected for her performance in ‘La La Land’.

While her main event dress is street ahead in the best dressed poll, some might be disappointed by this second Givenchy offering.

Where is the beaded Calvin Klein dress usually worn by Best Actress winners? I hear you cry.

After a hectic awards season I totally get why she would’ve wanted an understated look.

Personally I find it youthful and fresh with the pearl accented jacket adding some grandeur.

This isn’t even good for a casual event. What was she thinking? She could’ve just worn a cute mini or a jumpsuit or pant suit if she wanted to be comfortable. This is just bad.

This is bad. Not a good look at all.

I really like it because it’s different. She could have easily gone down the sparkly gown path, but this is effortless.

Honestly this is exactly what most people would wear to an after party, after being in a gown for so many hours. She mightn’t have been the most stylish at the VF Party but she was definitely the most comfortable

Snoooooze! This might classify as one of the most boring looks for this afterparty ever.

I really can’t decide if I like it or not. On the one hand, it looks really casual and youthful, and I like seeing Emma with styles like this, but on the other hand, I’m not sure this is appropriate for an ocasion like this. However, I’m very positive for her makeup and her hairstyle!

This is one of the worst Oscars After Party look I have ever seen since I’ve entered the world of fashion.

It really is pretty bad, agreed.

I wonder if her team prepared this for, if she wins? This is nicely relaxed and grown-up, very “serious actress” chic.

Why waste another excuse to wear a fabulous dress?

lol, true. This screams i won but how could i have beat meryl streep

Probably comfortable but very dull and grandma like.

  11. Chris February 27, 2017 at 13:49 #

I love it, tbh. Fun, chic and modern.

I like that she went more casual and understated to the afterparty but the jacket is too grandma-ish for my liking.

  13. Jenna February 27, 2017 at 12:40 #

It is youthful and fresh! I agree Catherine! It is the length of the jacket and the dress that seem somehow off-balance! It’s probably just me

I don’t like the dress, neither the blazer but her make up is much better than for the Oscars !
