2017 Image Maker Awards

Marie Claire’s Image Maker Awards 2017 were held at Catch LA on January 10, 2017 in West Hollywood, California, celebrating the makeup artists, hairstylists, and others behind Hollywood’s hottest beauties.

Jessica Pare: The actress worked a geometric Camilla and Marc Fall 2017 tunic-and-pants combo that prioritized casual comfort. I’m glad she brought a more exciting cherry lip stain out to play.

Janelle Monae: There is not a doubt that Janelle was having plenty of fun with her sparkly Thom Browne Spring 2017 ensemble that put a whole new meaning to tuxedo dress. I cannot say that I loved it—or her bobby pin-spiked hair, for that matter. But what I did love was her beautiful makeup, with the subtle blue under-eye shadow and glossy nude lip.

Jessica Alba: The cutouts in Jessica Alba’s suede Balmain jacket made all the difference in the world to elevate this Spring 2017 look.

Elizabeth Olsen: The starlet stepped away from the black trend of the night and donned a rosy-pink Emilio Pucci robe-inspired halter gown that had borrowed-from-the-boudoir inspiration finished with a seductive oxblood lip.

Cindy Crawford: Putting her sexy foot forward, the supermodel sauntered out a Balmain Resort 2017 gown with sheer sleeves and cutouts that seemed okay from afar until a closer look exposed some of the fit issues with the fabric.

Margot Robbie: The just-married actress wasn’t making any style memories here, as she wore a rather nondescript Valentino Spring 2017 black ensemble with messy, beach waves.

Not really liking anyone here; odd proportions and cheap fabrics.

    I loved Janelle’s look.
Not a fan of the rest, although Jessica’s look is alright.

    Jessica looks frumpy,hate the top
Janelle looks good but again her style is a little too gimicky for me
As for Jessica Alba,I wanted to like the look when I saw the jacket but then I got to the clutch and the pants and it was all a big no
Elizabeth’s dress js underwhelming and ill-fitting and the hair and makeup are just random
Cindy looks fine except for the hem and boob wrap
I actually liked this look from Margot,my only quibble are the pants,I wish they were a little shorter

Janelle Monae’s looks always brings a smile to my face simply because her personality shines through everything she wears.
