I didn’t understand why there isn’t Lea in MiuMiu.
the red one and also the pink in Paris were amazing dresses and MiuMiu has done a great red carpet Year!

  4. Fanny December 25, 2015 at 17:56 #

  5. TeaAtTwo December 24, 2015 at 18:56 #

  6. GRACE December 24, 2015 at 16:36 #

Missing Emmy Rossum…but overall a great year for fashion, especially from the Spectre cast. Thanks FC for all your dedication and hard work. Merry Christmas to you and your team!!

  7. Yeliz December 24, 2015 at 15:19 #

That’s a great and diverse list, Catherine. Although I’m a bit surprised to see Sienna being #5. But these are your choices after all.
Happy Holidays to you and the whole team who is behind this amazing website. I hope RCFA will still be in our lives in 2016.

  8. EmmaWoodhouse December 24, 2015 at 13:59 #

Now here’s a list I can get behind! AMAZING choices with both of Fan’s looks (the Chris by Christopher Bu was my BDOTY) on the list, Elizabeth Banks, Cate Blanchett…and Heidi Klum for once earning a spot well.
Thanks to dear FC and to all the supporting writers for an amazing year. My life wouldn’t be the same without this site. <3

  9. manja December 24, 2015 at 09:15 #

  10. Vieen December 24, 2015 at 01:53 #

Its so weird not seeing diane kruger on your list.

  11. Nat39 December 24, 2015 at 01:41 #

Fan’s Ralph and Russo at #1 – couldn’t agree more! Such an exquisite combination of supreme elegance and traditional artistry – a sublime winner, she got my vote. Glad to see Erin made it too and Heidi, Paz, Naomie’s Altuzarra and Cate.

Not convinced by Sienna, sorry, looking weak at #5 imo.

Loved Elisabeth, the way she owned the look – absolutely beautiful, however this is such a generic Elie Saab gown, and for that reason she finished in my top 15 only.

Thank You for another great year, FC. Happy Holidays!

    • Nat39 December 24, 2015 at 07:27 #

and a shout-out to Rachel Watkins too who’s been doing an amazing job writing numerous posts, I like the manner and find myself agreeing most often:)

I truly hope this wonderful site will preserve its current effective and enjoyable format and continue its existence.

  12. Kaz December 23, 2015 at 22:33 #

Thanks FC – a great end of year lists and awards! Love your work.

I love your list and also adored Diane Kruger in Prabal Gurung (CFDA) and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley in Versace (Met Gala).

Have a fantastic festive season and look forward to more of your fabulous work in 2016 xx

  13. Sanya December 23, 2015 at 21:58 #

Interesting list. Colorfoul. That you so much for working on this wonderful project that has been an important part of my life for the last four years. Happy holidays.

    • Sanya December 23, 2015 at 21:59 #

      Thank you so much… 🙂

  14. Magdalena December 23, 2015 at 21:40 #

Looking at both the readers’ and critics’ lists i came to the conclusion that this year was a bit disappointing fashion-wise. IMO, there weren’t a lot of wow moments in comparison to other years.

  15. The original AB December 23, 2015 at 21:10 #

Hi FC, I prefer your list to the readers choice list. My own top10 is:

    1. Zhang Ziyi in Carolina Herrera-Met Gala
    2. Cate Blanchett in Armani Prive-Sicario Cannes Film Festival
3 Fan Bingbing in Christopher Bu-Met Gala
    4. Salma Hayek in Elie Saab-The Prophet Beirut Premiere
    5. Dita VonTeese in Alexis Mabille Couture-Sidaction Gala Dinner
    6. Jennifer Lopez in Valentino Couture-Tony Awards
    7. Naomie Harris in Balmain-Spectre Mexico City Premiere
    8. Kate Hudson in Giles-InStyle Awards
    9. Kate Bosworth in Carolina Herrera-MIPCOM Pre-Opening Screening of ‘The Art of More’
10.Kiernan Shipka in Oscar de la Renta-17th Costume Designers Guild Awards

Thank you for all your hard work this year. Hopefully this great blog will continue.

  16. Joy December 23, 2015 at 17:57 #

This list is so much much better than the reader’s choice list. The reader’s choice list made me want to cry. Totally agree with the choices made here!

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to Catherine and the team of RCFA!

  17. Della December 23, 2015 at 17:52 #

Love choices 6, 9, and 10! Thank you so much FC! This blog is amazing.

  18. Blosss December 23, 2015 at 17:51 #

I think this list its more ecletic in styles than the reader’s list, so I prefer this one. However, I wish my girl, Emmy Rossum had made it in the Donna Karen or the Carolina Herrera :/

  19. Zarine December 23, 2015 at 17:42 #

Thank YOU FC. For being so consistent and so entertaining every year. You are the best! Happy holidays!

  20. Charlie December 23, 2015 at 17:35 #

Great choices FC! I always love your lists- especially Elizabeth Banks and Naomie Harris on this list! Thank you again for another wonderful year of fashion. Happy New Year!

  21. Kona December 23, 2015 at 17:32 #

Yasssssssss! Your list is ten times better than the reader’s list (boring as ever). It’s diverse, fashion forward and unique. A true fashion critic!

  22. dafne December 23, 2015 at 17:16 #

I love you for putting Erin O’Connor, Sienna Miller, Paz Vega and Naomie Harris in your list!
Sienna Miller was my personal favourite. Happy holidays!

  23. Rachel December 23, 2015 at 17:15 #

Thanks a lot for this amazing year, I think this is the only website I check everyday, LOL.
I am so very prepared for the awards season now…
    Wish you all Happy Holidays!!

  24. Caroline December 23, 2015 at 16:55 #

I don’t agree with this list but oh well, I mostly never do.
Thank you FC for your amazing coverage! Happy holidays xxx

  25. Dee December 23, 2015 at 16:51 #

I don’t get the choices for 4 and 5. The red gown with that huge ribbon on the side looks silly and Erin’s face is too bare. Sienna’s hair doesn’t work with her dress and the dress itself is nothing special. The rest are good.

  26. Alina December 23, 2015 at 16:47 #

I’m so happy that Elizabeth is your number one! I was a little suprised to see Sienna’s look here (I didn’t know you loved it so much) and not to see Jessica Chastain’s Elie Saab.

I was so shocked by the readers’ list’s similar looks that I made a collage to see if my top 20 is a little more diverse. I have to say I’m happy with the results ( http://s21.postimg.org/tk4rzuunr/Collage.jpg ).

I want to thank you, Catherine, for all your hard work this year. I know it’s not always milk and honey, but I hope you realise the number of those who love RFCA is far bigger than that of those who bicker about stuff. I also wish we will enjoy this fashion site (under your leadership) for years to come.

    Happy Holidays!

  27. Julie Arde December 23, 2015 at 16:45 #

Agree with this list much more than the Readers Choice! So glad Heidi made it in too, it was her best ever look. Happy New Year!

  28. mm December 23, 2015 at 16:44 #

Love you list better than what we came up with. LOL

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year FC

  29. meme December 23, 2015 at 16:41 #

Lea in the red Miu Miu gown is my #1. She looked drop dead gorgeous in that. 7-10 are not to my liking but to each his own. Love that I found this site. So much fun!

  30. jhh36 December 23, 2015 at 16:16 #

Thanks for a great year of fashion. This is my first year following this blog and it is one of my favorites. I love everything on this list though my number one is sadly missing. I am really happy to see numbers 3, 4, 7, 8 and 9 on this list. I would have put the orange Stella McCartney dress on the list for Naomie Harris instead of number 10, but that is a minor point. I am just happy to see Naomie on the list given how great a year she had fashion-wise.

  31. Zineb December 23, 2015 at 16:10 #

Nice list. Happy that Elizabeth, Heidi, Camilla and both Fan looks made it to the Top 10 list (they were on mine). Those looks were glorious. Happy holidays FC, here’s to more breathtaking fashion moments in 2016. I just hope you never quit this blog, I heard some rumors and I want to tell you that we truly enjoy it and would love for it to go on for many years to come.

  32. Christine December 23, 2015 at 16:08 #

A better list. With Lea being my number 1 and Elizabeth my number 2 with Fan Bing Bing Met Gala my number 3. Good to see Naomie here too.

  33. Chris December 23, 2015 at 15:46 #

Happy that Cate Blanchett and Naomie Harris made it onto this list. =)

Happy holidays and thanks for all the amazing work you put into the blog this year again! It was the first full year I was following this blog and I really enjoyed it a lot and even feel like I learned a lot about fashion and developed my own fashion taste a lot through following everything you post on here. =)

    • Chris December 23, 2015 at 15:52 #

I mean, it wasn’t until I discovered this blog that I really started to get into celebrity fashion and just my interest in fashion in general wasn’t there like that before either. I’m always following all the fashion weeks now, which isn’t something I ever did before. At the beginning of the year, I couldn’t tell the differences between different designers, now I can immediately recognize the work of many of them. So I really owe a lot to this blog here, this year was quite the journey in fashion for me, all thanks to this and I just wanted to point that out. =)

  34. CreoleLady December 23, 2015 at 15:45 #

Thank you, FC, for the wonderful and witty commentary that you and your team provided this year (and, I pray, many more years to come). I have benefited IRL from your unerring eye for identifying elements of a look and why they work (although my bank account, not so much, lol). Your top ten list is wonderful. Happy holidays !

  35. monica December 23, 2015 at 15:43 #

will you be back next year???

  36. Ana December 23, 2015 at 15:36 #

YES!! Great choices and I’m happy to see that my favorite, Elizabeth Banks in Elie Saab, is N1!

    Happy Holidays!

  37. alex December 23, 2015 at 15:34 #

Great choices! Another wonderful year! Thank you so so much FC for your amazing work. I believe RCFA has become a thing that I and probably most of us cannot live without. No matter what your decision is, we will respect that. But I do hope this fabulous website continues!

Wish all of you a happy holiday!
