Following her ‘Hunger Games’ tour, Jennifer Lawrence was back on the red carpet for the New York premiere of ‘Joy’ on Sunday (December 13).
The actress wore a custom Dior Couture pale yellow silk chiffon evening gown, styled with a turquoise ring and coral earrings.
The dress is beautiful, simple and elegant, and perhaps one of her best this year, but I am by no means blown away by this look. Perhaps because I constantly feel like she’s holding out on us.

I find this unflattering and deja-vu.
Not amazing, but considering her usual standards, it’s beautiful. She looks nice enough. Also, I always try to keep in mind that she is the don’t-care-I’ll-wear-anything-they-give-me kind of girl.
I’ll never forget one interview with her on the rc before the Oscars, where the interviewer asked her about her dress and she answered “they told me to say it’s Dior.”
Nothing changed since then, I guess.
I really like this look. Simple, chic and beautiful.
One of her better Dior outings. All of her jaw-dropping red carpet moments have been in other designers though hence why even a good Dior moment is still lackluster because she has done so much better.
I agree that it is unflattering through the waist. The earrings are cute.
It is a gown for Charlize Theron, I think it looks unflattering on her, especially the waist.
She looks pretty nothing outstanding but a nice look.
Lovely and simple…she looks beautiful.
This is the best she looked in a while. The dress is beautiful.
Gorgeous but déjà vu
In her defense, even her personal style isn’t great so we shouldn’t be too demanding regarding her RC appearances.
+1
Her personal style is the worst
It’s not jaw dropping but considering her mistakes with Dior … it’s a hit. Simple, elegant. Flawless. It’s enough .
It just me or after Simmons output of the Dior her looks has improved considerably?
So flawless!
I don’t like this.
The dress is dull and her styling is uninspired.
ITA. There is nothing remotely interesting about this blah of a dress. Bad color on her and utterly forgettable like pretty much every other Dior disaster she wears. I also am not a fan of the brassy blonde hair.
nothing groundbreaking in this dress but it fits her well and she looks comfortable.
so it’s a hit for her.
