Ferragamo Celebrates 100 Years in Hollywood

Ferragamo Celebrates 100 Years in Hollywood

A group of lovelies held court with the Ferragamo family and Vogue’s Lisa Love, who hosted a dinner to celebrate 100 years of Ferragamo at Eric Buterbaugh Floral on Wednesday (September 9) in West Hollywood, California. As to be expected, many were outfitted in Salvatore Ferragamo for the evening.

Camilla Belle: Yielding to the siren song of the dramatic, Camilla vamped up the night in a Ferragamo black lace dress that again reminded us that sexy, sheer, and lacy are still very much part of the style vocabulary—for better or worse. Here, the effect was a bit too overworked, especially with the dual waist detail and the forest-green detailing, not to mention the rather theatrical winged eyeliner.

Cody Horn: Her colour-blocked Ferragamo frock in retro hues, paired with geometric sandals, was an eye-catching statement. The look would have been better served with a sleek ponytail as her pretty blonde locks got in the way on this occasion.

Freida Pinto: Wearing the same shoes as Cody, the actress matched her pair with an emerald-green Ferragamo wrap dress. Some measure of the colour-block theme was also repeated here with the navy sash detailing across the shoulder and down the skirt but I prefer to focus on the richly lustrous, jewel-toned hue and her pretty ruby lip.

Demi Moore: Remove the red blanket and the quirky, leg-shortening shoe boots, and we may have had ourselves a look. As presented, the whimsical bow and button detailing of this Ferragamo dress was negated by the styling.

Kiernan Shipka: My favourite look among the group, Kiernan’s Ferragamo frock featured polish and panache with the fun movement of the paneling in combination with a pair of architecturally stunning shoes and her youthfully fresh braided mohawk.

Holland Roden: She also wore Ferragamo, wearing a monochromatic cream sweater and pleated skirt presenting a contrast to the darker colour palette of the other ensembles. Perhaps that explains the rationale behind the otherwise inexplicable Ferragamo black clutch.
