A bevy of more beauties were also in attendance at the ‘Everest’ premiere, which was held as part of the opening ceremony of the 2015 Venice Film Festival on Wednesday (September 2) in Venice, Italy.

Fiammetta Cicogna
: Also channeling her inner artiste, the Italian actress selected an Alberta Ferretti gown. Given the rather ornate, museum-quality print, she kept her hair in loose waves and wore barely-there makeup for a fresh, youthful tone.

Alessandra Ambrosio: While the model, of course, could look good in a bed sheet, I see this sheer, lacy wisp of a Philosophy dress more appropriate for a breezy, beachside evening rather than the red carpet of the Venice Film Festival. To that end, the striking diamond jewels were a bit extravagant.

Valeria Bilello: Minimalist with a hint of cheeky charm in the gumdrop-like embellishment at the collar, Valeria balanced traditional form with fun in this black column gown.

Franca Sozzani
: The editor-in-chief of ‘Vogue Italia’ flexed her fashion muscle in an eye-catching Valentino creating with intricate allover beading. The bold pattern motif in combination with the baby blue colour made for a striking entrance.

Anita Caprioli: On the jury of the 2015 Venice Film Festival, Anita kept her look completely classic, oozing elegance in a one-shoulder, asymmetrical draped gown, diamond earrings, and a red lip.

Maria Grazia Cucinotta: I cannot say that I was too excited about this black crochet gown as it seemed a bit heavy despite the plunge neckline and sheer elements.

Radha Mitchell
: The Aussie actress embraced the Marchesa ballgown in its simple, sweeping glory, but this one came with an extra va-va-voom finish in the waist-high, leg-baring slit. She styled the dress with Irene Neuwirth jewels, a Jaeger-LeCoultre watch, and a Kara Ross wood-like clutch for a rather unexpected, nature-toned finish.
