Nieves Alvarez In Stéphane Rolland Couture - 'Shan He Gu Ren' Cannes Film Festival Premiere

Nieves Alvarez attended the ‘Shan He Gu Ren’ (‘Mountains May Depart’) Premiere during the 68th annual Cannes Film Festival on Wednesday (May 20) in Cannes, France.

The Spanish beauty wore a look from Stéphane Rolland’s Spring 2015 Couture collection which has many gorgeous pieces, but I can’t get on board with this choice.

I’m mostly put off by the nude chiffon appliqués at the hem of her dress which don’t translate so well off the runway.

Perhaps my feeling towards this dress would’ve been more favourable had they been in a bolder colour like orange or red to look like a burning flame, but even then this dress just doesn’t live up to any of her previous Cannes offerings.
