Alexa Chung In Alessandra Rich – Piaget Celebrates Its New Possession Collection

Alexa Chung In Alessandra Rich - Piaget Celebrates Its New Possession Collection

Alexa Chung attended the celebration of Piaget’s new Possession collection, hosted at The NoMad Hotel in New York City on Thursday (May 14).

She married her fuss-free, tomboy aesthetic with the loosely tailored, vintage lines of this Alessandra Rich Spring 2015 cold-shoulder pleated frock, in which I was glad to see the sash from the runway stayed firmly in place, firmly cementing the chic factor of the look.

The charm only was magnified by the Charlotte Olympia ‘Kitty’ shoes, which some may question as too cutesy for such a dress. But few will object that they align with Alexa’s signature, slightly quirky style.

You may remember that the dress was previously worn by Keira Knightley last year. However, on this occasion, you won’t find me complaining about its second time out, as Alexa more fully embodied the true spirit of the design and its casually languid, vintage glamour.

Awful, really. It looks like she woke up, threw on the dress and the first pair of shoe she could find and went to the event.

I think she looks lovely except for the shoes. They were cute the first few dozen times, but enough. tTis dress is too sophisticated for those kitten shoes.

I love it, the dress fits perfectly. And I like the styling except for the shoes.

    She looks really good !
I don’t agree with the others, I think her laidback style works well with the dress even though I wish she opted for different shoes.

Alexa had enough sense to keep the sash so this should be a slam dunk but her styling is underwhelming at best.

I agree with kane above. When you do retro, you have to fully commit. Otherwise, it looks sloppy.

I like the dress but not her styling.

You can’t wear such an unabashedly retro dress with her usual “I just through this on on the way out” styling (that hair!). It may work for something that’s chic and modern, but this look you need to commit to and she didn’t. It was easier for Keira because she’s more the sweet, romantic type anyway.

      Must still be asleep: “threw”!
