Louis Vuitton Resort 2016 Front Row

Louis Vuitton Resort 2016

The Louis Vuitton Resort 2016 show was held at a futuristic private residence in Palm Springs, California on Wednesday (May 6), where a list of pretties sat front row to take in the out-of-this-world affair.

Michelle Williams: The star of Louis Vuitton’s handbag campaign, the actress rather ironically didn’t carry a clutch here. Instead, she paired her tousled platinum locks with a whimsically printed, scallop-edge frock from the fashion house, toughened up by black colour-blocked accents and patent booties.

Zhang Ziyi: Combining feminine charm with mod edge, the actress was alluring in a Louis Vuitton colourful cropped jacket, laced in bright pink flowers, worn with a geometric tee and black petal skirt. Mismatched earrings and a heavy-duty cuff provided another layer of interest to the look with her bright magenta lip polishing it off in youthfully fun style.

Selena Gomez
: Going the way of tough-girl chic, the singer-actress rocked a Louis Vuitton lace-embellished, black leather dress with those ubiquitous black LV booties and a smoky eye to further ensure the edgy spirit of the look.

Alicia Vikander: The rumoured new face of Louis Vuitton, the starlet was dressed in the brand from top-to-toe with her sheer lace top and tweedy miniskirt giving a sweet yet not-quite-so-innocent allure. The chain-strap shoulder bag added a classic finish, but I can’t say I understood the black-and-white pumps.

Carina Lau
: The actress’s micro-printed Louis Vuitton dress featured black paneling for a slight punch of rebel spirit against the sophisticated and ladylike silhouette.

Miranda Kerr: I loved the model’s entrance for its sleek minimalism, showing the power of black and white in her sleeveless top and leather miniskirt elevated by a structured purse and a gorgeous beauty look.

Charlotte Gainsbourg: She never misses an opportunity to wear her favoured label, this time donning a Louis Vuitton ribbed metallic dress with embellished peplum detailing and a contrasting printed skirt. A shrunken leather moto jacket and black boots with white straps added that signature tough edge.

Nathalie Emmanuel
: I wish her snug pants had fit better to create a more streamlined silhouette for this midnight-blue suit, which she wore with a provocative hint of a sheer black top.

Adèle Exarchopoulos
: The French starlet played the sexy angle in a lingerie-inspired, black lace slip dress. The white and black pumps and boxy clutch proved an awkward, angular match to the frock.
