Alicia Keys In Jean Paul Gaultier Couture – 2015 Met Gala

Alicia Keys In Jean Paul Gaultier Couture - 2015 Met Gala

Alicia Keys attended the ‘China: Through the Looking Glass’ 2015 Met Gala hosted at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City on Monday (May 4).

The songstress wore a Jean Paul Gaultier Spring 2015 Couture confection marked by the contrast between a sharply tailored dark-blue blazer and cropped bra top and the frothiness of a sheer tulle, tiered princess skirt.

She kept the architectural topknot trend of the evening going strong with her sculpted version, finishing the look with sapphire statement jewels.

I’m puzzled as to the reason behind the dark leggings.

Did this look have enough Chinese influence for you, or were you completely missing the theme here?

I’m not sure if I love this on her and it’s definitely the wrong night to wear it.

Worst dress. This is a hideous and messy piece and what the hell has this got to do with the Met Gala or this year’s theme? What was she thinking?

This doesn’t work for her or the event.

At least she was fully covered, unlike most of the pop stars at this event.

This (with no leggings and a better lined skirt) would have been great for the Punk theme. Not this one.

This is off theme. So not right for this event.
