Beauty Trend Spotting: Unicorn Hair

A constellation of beauties have undergone a mythical transformation, channeling their inner unicorn with a kaleidoscope of bold hair hues. These pastel princesses have left their roots behind to seek out more colourful pastures, turning the idea of ‘au naturel’ on its head with their allover shades.

Julianne Hough is one of the most recent starlets to embrace the trend, as she flaunted a new pretty-in-pink, bubblegum ’do to perfection for a simultaneously sassy, girly, and chic effect.

Hilary Duff perhaps surprised many us when she also looked to the rainbow for inspiration and debuted her mermaid locks, experimenting with teal-blue waves.

Meanwhile, Amber Rose clearly decided that blues have way more fun than blondes taking her platinum buzz cut to a vibrant electric shade.

And while Katy Perry may have just recently sheared her mane into a brunette crop, her chameleon-like tendencies have seen her rock all varieties of candy-coloured shades, including lavender-purple at the 2015 Grammy Awards.
