Variety’s Actors on Actors: Emmy Edition Red Carpet Roundup

Variety's Actors on Actors Emmy Edition Red Carpet Roundup

The Variety Studio Actors on Actors: Emmy Edition event, held on March 29 in Los Angeles, was a regular who’s who of powerful women in TV.

Mindy Kaling: Looking radiant and ready for spring, Mindy wore a matching green top and skirt with a bold tropical flower print. Paired with blush pink sandals, classic gold jewelry and a sleek, low-slung ponytail and soft pink lips, Mindy is looking gorgeous.

Lizzy Caplan: Taking a sleeker approach to the event, Lizzy wore a Andrew Gn Spring 2015 suit with white accent, Bionda Castana ‘Rosario’ pumps and Ippolita jewels. I love that she chose the white pumps with the look–it definitely adds some fun, and easy curls and bright red lips have her looking every bit the HBIC that she is.

Viola Davis: It’s not every day that a daytime frock gives you a ‘takes my breath away’ moment, but Viola did that for me in this sleeveless blue Donna Karan dress with lace and silver piping accents. She paired the look with gold Vince Camuto heels and Swarovski earrings, and she looks so radiant and fresh, I just can’t take my eyes off of her. Bouncy curls, glowing skin and a glossy pop of color on her lips finishes the ravishing look.

Julianna Margulies: A two-toned black and white Narciso Rodriguez frock is chic and perfectly complemented by black sandals, a few well-placed jewels. Center-parted and oh-so-shiny hair and such flawless skin that she is giving me major complexion envy finish Julianna’s flawless ensemble.

Taraji P. Henson: There’s no doubt that between the success of her new show ‘Empire’ and her character Cookie’s fierceness that Taraji is having quite a moment, and she is working that moment here. The bright yellow sheath dress, floral-print sandals and matching turquoise mani and pedi are bright, fun and oh-so-spring-like. Her topknot and barely-there makeup are making her the poster child for spring.

Uzo Aduba: The neon blue and black sheath dress is a powerful punch of color, and pairing it with taupe shoes was inspired. Long, loose curls, coral blush and glossy pink lips leave Uzo looking fresh and fun.

There are a lot of great looks here: Does one stand out from the crowd for you?
