Get The Look: Amanda Seyfried's 'While We're Young' Premiere French Braids

Celebrity hairstylist Renato Campora worked with Amanda Seyfried for the premiere of ‘While We’re Young’ on Monday (March 23).

When describing his inspiration, Renato said, “When I saw Amanda’s dress, I knew I wanted the hair to feel youthful, playful, and innocent. I decided on French braids but still wanted to maintain a bit of sophistication and structure.”

Here’s how to get the look.

Beginning with dry hair, he applied Oribe Foundation Mist and used a blow dryer and brush to refresh her hair after a day of press.

Next he made a centre part from the top of the head to the nape of the neck, creating two sections. He then applied Oribe Rough Luxury Molding Wax in sections, to give the hair texture and hold. He then began the French braid on one side of the head.

He made sure to start with a small section (about a quarter to a half inch) so the braid laid flat on the head. He pulled the top of the hair tight, which really opened up Amanda’s beautiful eyes. As he continued the braid down her head, he gradually increased the size of the sections and secured the end with a hair tie.

He moulded the remaining piece of the braid into my desired shape at the nape of the neck and secured with pins. He then repeated the same process on the other side of the head.

He finished off the look with a bit of N.4 Mighty Hairspray.
