Crown Princess Mary of Denmark – Queen Maxima and King Willem-Alexander of The Netherlands Visit Denmark

Crown Princess Mary of Denmark - Queen Maxima and King Willem-Alexander of The Netherlands Visit Denmark

Crown Princess Mary of Denmark welcomed Queen Máxima of the Netherlands for the Dutch State visit to Denmark on Tuesday (March 17), and also held the state banquet dinner at Christiansborg Palace in Copenhagen in the Queen’s honour.

Look 1: Opting for neutrals, she wore a light-camel coat with a swingy, retro-inspired silhouette paired with nude pumps. But the real soul of the look came courtesy of her accessories. I loved the smart punch of deep plum delivered by her gloves, clutch, brooch, and embellished hat.

Look 2: Her minimal ivory-white gown, accented with a brushed gold waistband, was a classic canvas for her regalia, diamond crown, and gemstone-and-diamond earrings. The beauty of the dress was in the draping of the skirt and train and its overall effortless simplicity.

Two great looks. I wish she’d pass on some tips to the Duchess of Cambridge.

Two absolutely chic and stunning looks, I’m loving both. She looks so regal.

Thank you, thank you, thank you Catherine for displaying Crown Princess Mary and Queen Maxima on your website. They are a fresh breath of air compared to the Duchess of Cambridge who, as lovely as she may be; dresses as a woman twice her age. Mary looks so chic in Look 2, but I am in love with Look 1; gives me a Jackie O vibe.

Her pumps in the first look are Louboutins and her clutch is from Danish brand Carland Copenhagen.
Her gown is by Birgit Hallstein, pumps by Manolo Blank and clutch by Judith Leiber.

Will you cover Princess Marie as well ? I really liked her looks for this first day.

Admire her style so much! She is so perfect and befitting for a princess. Love the effortlessness of the first look and the drape + cut of the second look.

    She looks divine

I find this just okay by her standards. The first look is nice, the purple accessories are a nice touch, but it’s all let down by the nude shoes, which I don’t care for with the beige coat.

As for the second look, nice colour, goes nicely with the sash, but I guess the cloak she wore it with last time concealed the overall simplicity of this.
