Octavia Spencer In Tadashi Shoji – 2015 Oscars

Octavia Spencer In Tadashi Shoji - 2015 Oscars

Octavia Spencer was back on the red carpet at the 2015 Oscars at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, California on Sunday (February 22).

There will perhaps be no utters of surprise that the actress wore her favoured designer, Tadashi Shoji, for the evening’s festivities.

After a rare misstep in the designer-star pairing, the duo was back on firm footing with this custom creation in a glorious shade of mint green.

She style the off-the-shoulder, draped and embellished design simply and beautifully with diamond-encrusted earrings, a tonal Judith Leiber clutch and a sleek updo.

If it’s not broke…

This is a great look for her. The colour and the design are perfect!

    Lovely and works for her.

    perfection!

She looks lovely. I’m in love with her earrings and her makeup.

She looks lovely as always, but I think there is too much embelishment on the bottom of the gown. Perhaps if the line of applique was removed from the hem…it’s just too much.

And… Tadashi Shoji of course. It looks dated, as always.

She worn this before and so much better then.

One of the best looks of the night. I really like her style.

I love dreamy shade and the draping and details on the bottom half are divine.

Another amazing partnership between Octavia and Tadashi.

I don’t like the top part of the dress, but the rest is beautiful.

  12. EmmaWoodhouse February 23, 2015 at 04:11 #

I think she looks stunning. Bless this partnership!

I wanted to see her in something different. and she should lose some weight .

    • Liz February 23, 2015 at 04:20 #

No need to comment on someone’s weight. When you are walking the Oscar’s red carpet yourself you can make sure you are in great shape.

    • Alina February 23, 2015 at 05:07 #

I’m not one to answer comments like this, but… why? Why make a comment about someone’s weight when we are talking about fashion?

    • julyol1972 February 23, 2015 at 05:41 #

Why does her weight bother you so much? If she’s fine with it, it shouldn’t affect anyone else. Plus, this is a fashion blog, not about weight management!!!

    • Nadia99 February 23, 2015 at 05:46 #

She’s fine the way she is.

The bottom half of this dress is really pretty in an old Hollywood way.
For me, this is an actor-designer partnership that truly works.

  15. Marybeth February 23, 2015 at 03:12 #

I don’t think this is as wonderful as the last two Tadashi dresses Octavia wore to the Oscars, but it’s still very, very nice.
    She looks lovely.

  16. Christine February 23, 2015 at 03:01 #

Although, the partnership with Tadashi is sweet …. It will be nice to see her wear another designer. Just once.

This dress is not working for me. Not liking the color

  17. Yeliz February 23, 2015 at 03:00 #

The design of the bust area doesn’t really work imo, but the rest is beautiful.

  18. Bailey February 23, 2015 at 03:00 #

Other then the strange (bra) lines on the bust, this looks fantastic on her!
