Lorelei Linklater In Gabriela Cadena – 2015 Oscars

LoreleiLinklaterInGabrielaCadena2015Oscars

Lorelei Linklater attended the 2015 Oscars at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood on Sunday (February 22).

The ‘Boyhood’ actress wore a Gabriela Cadena gown with Asian-inspired embroidered detailing and asymmetrical lines.

The star of the award-season darling film has been making some bold fashion statements throughout her time on the red carpet these past few months, and this is no exception. It’s youthful and fun and fits her gothic personality in a perfectly Oscar-apropos way.

Jimmy Choo shoes and Lorraine Schwartz ensure Lorelei is having a truly Oscar-worthy night, while long, loose waves, a matte red lip and kohl-rimmed eyes are edgy and pretty.

Are you feeling this unique gown?

Its the pose throwing me off. The dress itself isnt too bad. And her hair could of used some effort, pulled back so the dress shows better.

I like the idea of this actually, but the way the embroided bits are worked into the design lacks sophistication. Plus age-appropriateness and all.

    Oh dear.

How old is she? This doesn’t seem appropriate at all, but maybe she’s older than she looks. This seems pretty tacky regardless.

    Ugly dress.

I like the embroidery concept but now how it is applied and the whole look is a mess, in my opinion. Very busy and tacky.

I like the gown, it’s intricate, more unusual, she just doesn’t have the poise and presence to carry it off.

I wish someone else would have worn the dress.

    Not feeling it.

I think this gown would be encroaching on okay territory if it were solid black from the waist down. As is, it looks over-worked.
The makeup and earrings are nice and it is at least an attempt to navigate away from the standard oscar gown.
