Jena Malone In Ulyana Sergeenko Couture – 2015 Film Independent Spirit Awards

Jena Malone In Ulyana Sergeenko Couture - 2015 Film Independent Spirit Awards

Jena Malone attended the 2015 Film Independent Spirit Awards at Santa Monica Beach in Santa Monica, California on Saturday (February 21).

She turned heads in an Ulyana Sergeenko Spring 2015 Couture look with Russian-inspired detail that delivered the full-on drama we’ve come to expect from the actress.

A corset-inspired cutout bodice provided the structural simplicity needed for the dimensional waffle silk skirt that was an art piece in and of itself with its extraordinary attention to detail in every section of the design.

Her blazing red waves put another pop of attitude into the ensemble, which may end up being the Marmite look of the evening.

Love this woman, and this outfit. Brilliant.

YES! By far the most memorable collection finally hitting the runway. I find the shoes quite baffling, but I love everything else, well done!

There’s something awfully cartoonish about this. Not liking any of it.

  4. Parvati February 22, 2015 at 12:23 #

I really like the look, but she is a bit overdressed considering the event.

  5. bisbee February 22, 2015 at 07:30 #

    Horrible dress, in my opinion.

My first reaction was: “What is this?!”. Still have the same thought.

    Overdressed.

I really like Jena, she’s very unapologetic with her style and I find it refreshing. This look was a bold choice, and I think it was well executed. Honorable Mention: Those red locks, they are her best statement accessory.

completely agree. Always happy to see what she chooses as it’s rarely the ‘young hollywood starlet look’.

I like it, a bold couture look, but seems a bit too ott for the occasion.

    • Kimma February 22, 2015 at 05:17 #

Agree this is ott for the event. She needed it hemmed shorter too as in the look book

Really like the look, especially the hair. Her ever-changing hairstyles remind me of the young Madonna. Jena has her own sense of style, very original.

iIf I put my finger over the neck piece this is a great look which she pulls off with plenty of flair.

    • msd February 22, 2015 at 04:25 #

The neckpiece makes the outfit feel too formal and fussy for the event. Without it, this is a really cool look. I’m glad someone is doing something a bit different.

The neckpiece looks too much, but I like the rest of the look, especially the combination of the skirt with the clutch.
