8th Annual ESSENCE Black Women In Hollywood Luncheon Red Carpet Roundup

8th Annual ESSENCE Black Women In Hollywood Luncheon Red Carpet Roundup

Here is a roundup of some of the other looks from the 8th annual ESSENCE Black Women In Hollywood luncheon at the Beverly Wilshire Four Seasons Hotel on Thursday (February 19) in Beverly Hills, California. Sadly it doesn’t include Lupita Nyong’o, who wore Peter Pilotto ‘Hendrix’ dress but decided to skip the red carpet.

Teyonah Parris: The ‘Mad Men’ actress is one person you can never miss on a red carpet. She may not be wearing a fabulous gown, but here she hits us with a bright emerald hue and modern suiting design by Kimberly Goldson. Factor in that studded clutch and lace pumps and we have yet another winning look from the actress.

Chanel Iman: As we know, Chanel loves a gown even more than Teyonah does, so even though this was a luncheon I was still shocked she didn’t stick to the tried and true. The model wore a sporty striped Jonathan Simkhai Pre-Fall 2015 racer dress styled with braided Brian Atwood ‘Olive’ sandals and a Rodo clutch.

Samira Wiley: Forgoing the ladies-who-lunch frock, the ‘Orange Is The New Black’ actress served up her own style of luncheon loveliness wearing an Azede Jean-Pierre Spring 2015 crop top and trousers featuring decorative embroidery.

Tia Mowry: The gorgeous actress opted to suit up in a striped vintage jumpsuit with tuxedo aspirations, which she styled with Stuart Weitzman ‘Nudist’ sandals and a Nancy Gonzalez clutch.

Tika Sumpter: This is a rare sombre offering from Tika but a very stylish one, dressed in Stella McCartney with lace pumps to complement the hemline.

Carmen Ejogo: With so many textures, prints, patterns, fabrications and appliqués going on with Byron Lars dress, I’m not sure I can fully get on board with this latest look from Carmen.

Danielle Brooks: I love how she used her accessories to add some flavour to her LWD.

Garcelle Beauvais: The actress kept things simple wearing a Black Halo dual-colour jumpsuit with added flavour via her mint-green sandals.

Regina King: The actress brought some colour to the table wearing a multicoloured top styled with a House of CB bandage skirt.

Tracee Ellis Ross: Also opting for all white, Tracee wore a Reed Krakoff for the occasion with a pop of pink to the lips.

Laverne Cox: Wore a lovely luncheon look consisting of a perforated Theory top and Whistles skirt.

Kelly Rowland: I love the white lace look, sans the green clutch and visible nude bra.
