Get The Look: Emma Stone’s Bold Smoky Golden Globes Beauty Look

Emma Stone Golden Globes MakeupEmma Stone has always been one to sparkle on the red carpet.

A fan of stunning and statement making looks; Emma’s ensemble at Sunday evening’s Golden Globe Awards was no exception. Her unique embellished Lanvin jumpsuit served as the perfect inspiration for her cool and daring beauty look.

Celebrity Makeup Artist, Rachel Goodwin, created a look that not only played up Emma’s bright eyes but also highlighted the lips. “With Emma’s look we really went fun, coquettish and flirtatious. For her makeup, we focused on both eyes and lips, which isn’t the norm—but we wanted something modern and ultra-feminine, not too serious” says Rachel.

A truly daring look that’s surprisingly wearable, here’s how you can recreate Emma’s Golden Globe beauty look yourself:

For a flawless base, Rachel applied an even layer of Revlon PhotoReady Airbrush Effects Makeup (Vanilla) to skin. She chose this foundation for its pore diminishing qualities and airbrush finish. Once the skin was set, Rachel brightened Emma’s face with a slight flush of color. Opting for a soft rosy pink blush, Rachel swept Chanel Le Jardin de Chanel Powder blush along Emma’s cheeks.

To achieve Emma’s stunning smoky eye, Rachel simply used the Chanel Quadra Eyeshadow palette in Tisse Riviera. She began by saturating the grey tone on the lid and continued with the darkest shade, neatly blending that into the outer corner of Emma’s eyes. She pulled the darker shadow out into a soft almond shape which gives the illusion of a more lifted and open eye. Once a gradient smoky effect was created, the look was framed with a soft blending of the lightest shade along the outer perimeters of the dark shadow.

For added intensity, Rachel lined the waterline with Chanel Stylo Yeux Waterproof Eyeliner in Black Shimmer and softly smoked a little along the outer half of the lower lash line. To open the eye, Rachel applied the lightest shadow from the quad to the tear duct and pulled the pale shimmery tone along the lower lash line. For the final framing element, she generously coated Emma’s lashes with CHANEL Le Volume de Chanel Mascara in Noir.

For that beautiful subtle red lip, Rachel chose a red lipstick with berry undertones. An even swipe of the creamy textured Revlon Ultra HD Lipstick in HD Iris was just the right shade to finish off the look.

An unusual pairing that made for a modern and cool look, this beauty style has just enough glamour for formal settings.
