Maggie Grace In Christian Siriano – ‘Taken 3’ Fan Event New York Screening

Maggie Grace In Christian Siriano - 'Taken 3' Fan Event New York Screening

Despite my love for pretty dresses, I am a huge fan of action movies, which is why I can’t wait for ‘Taken 3’ to hit theatres.

Maggie Grace attended the fan event screening held at the AMC Empire 25 theatre on Wednesday (January 7) in New York City wearing a Christian Siriano Spring 2015 look featuring a navy crepe top and metallic bubble skirt.

Despite being a spring look, both the style and colours couldn’t be more appropriate for fall, and I’m totally enamoured with the modern romantic nature of the look, especially when styled with those stunning Lorraine Schwartz emerald earrings.

Simple navy Jimmy Choo pumps and a chic updo rounded out her look.

Some might be deterred by the top, but she can hardly be blamed for the extreme flash that revealed her brassiere.

I agree with most people here. She’s a tall, slender woman and by rights should be able to pull this off, but somehow it all looks heavy and out of proportion. The latter problem may be due to the camera angle, but the way the skirt hangs is just not great, sadly, even on the model, imo. Maggie’s head is looking gorgeous as usual, though!

It could be the angle of the photo but it just seems like too much skirt – kind of overwhelming. Not loving it.

I love this on the runway.

    She doesn’t pull it off.

Not a good choice for her–she’s not long waisted enough or skinny enough to pull this gamine look off, in my opinion. And her hair style makes it all too severe.

J’Adore. The skirt may appear too long because of the angle. BDOTW.

This is not for a young, pretty girl. Oddest choice for red carpet.

The fabric is ugly, like an old couch. And the skirt is way too long, and a size too big, and very unflattering for such a pretty girl. The top (and earrings) are the best thing going here.

    Not liking this.

Neither am I. The sheer top is distracting, the skirt is too long and the shoes are too heavy.

      Me neither.

The skirt is a bit too long, and I think the whole thing translates a bit frumpy on her.

Considering how much criticism there has been of Raf Simons at Dior, I think it’s interesting how many designers have been ‘inspired’ by the full skirts with crew neck tops that he showed for Spring 13…

I love her earrings, and the skirt, in theory, but I find the length stumpefying, and the high waisted cut unflattering.

Honestly, the sheerness of the top is the most interesting thing about this look. The colours of the whole look are beautiful, but the skirt is so big its overwhelming. Still looks beautiful though

    Maggie… always so graceful!

Love the outfit – it might have looked better a tad shorter though, to show the shoes a la Audrey Hepburn?
