Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge In Seraphine & Beulah – Out In New York City

Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge In Seraphine & Beulah - Out In New York City

Prince William, Duke of Cambridge, and Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, took a slice of the Big Apple for the first time as a couple, arriving in New York for a landmark three-day official visit on Sunday (December 7).

Arrival: William and Kate mania broke out in Manhattan’s normally refined Upper East Side as they arrived at The Carlyle Hotel, once the favourite New York haunt of Princess Diana. The Duchess was wrapped up in a maroon and black tweed bespoke coat by her go-to maternity brand Seraphine, styled with tights, a black clutch and suede ankle boots.

Royal Foundation of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry Benefit: Later the same evening, the couple were spotted leaving a private reception and dinner for their foundation. Catherine braved the cold temperatures leaving the Gramercy Park residence sans coat wearing an intricate lace Beulah ‘Amara’ black lace dress styled with the usual black clutch and pumps.

I find myself liking both looks, especially the intricate lace motif on the second.

I am hoping there are some galas she will be attending during her stay so we get to see her take things up a notch with some glorious (hopefully non-black lace) gowns of the Oscar de la Renta, Carolina Herrera or Monique Lhuillier variety.
