Remembering Oscar de la Renta

LUX_3990

On Monday (October 20) it was confirmed that Oscar de la Renta, the legendary Dominican-American fashion designer, has died at age 82, having battled cancer for quite some time.

The designer, who was once quoted as saying “I don’t really know how to do casual clothes”, leaves behind a legacy of some of the greatest and most elegant designs to ever grace the red carpet.

Dressing everyone from First Ladies Jackie Kennedy, Nancy Reagan, Hillary Clinton and Laura Bush to stars such as Sarah Jessica Parker, Jessica Chastain, Amy Adams, Allison Williams, Emmy Rossum and Lea Michele, to name a few, the fashion legend will be greatly missed and will long be remembered for all things classic, elegant and beautiful.
