Jennifer Lawrence In Christian Dior – ‘Serena’ London Film Festival Screening

Jennifer Lawrence In Christian Dior - 'Serena' London Film Festival Screening

Jennifer Lawrence attended the premiere for ‘Serena’ during the 58th BFI London Film Festival held at Vue West End on Monday (October 13) in London, England.

The actress wore Dior, not surprisingly, donning a black wool coat dress with a deep plunge styled with black Brian Atwood ‘Mercury’ pumps and Dior tribal earrings in metal with a palladium finish set with grey resin pearls.

While this is not her most exciting look, I do find myself loving both the tailoring and the styling.

She looks both sexy and chic.

It’s not bad, but doesn’t mean that it’s interesting. I long to see her in some color.

Unlike most, I live for the moments that JLaw shines in Dior, flawless, BDOTW for sure

Definitely noticed her style change as soon as she cut her hair. She started taking more risks despite sticking with her signature designer Dior. She shows her diversity in this dress and I love it. Sexy, classy, sophisticated, all in one look.

The hair and makeup are perfect. She looks wonderful. The dress is just sort of there as backdrop.

I agree. May not be something exciting, but I still love it. She styled it flawlessly and looks chic.

      …love this hair for her.

Yes, i love the hair and makeup

The hair and make-up are excellent. The outfit is nice but not exciting.

All the criticisms above may all be on target, but she looks just spectacular here. Confident, womanly, the silliness that we all love her for is put away and she just looks like a very sexy woman.

Yup. I’m happy to concede all the close up flaws, but this look had me at hello on my phone. An LBD not too exciting in itself, the shoes again arguably boring pumps and yet she pulls this off spectacularly. So often I go hmmmm on her looks, but this I unabashedly love.

She rarely thrills me so I’m not surprised that this is just ok for me. We’ve seen this look a million times on the red carpet. Her hair and makeup are even boring for me.

  10. Yeliz October 14, 2014 at 15:21 #

    Simple, elegant and beautiful.

  11. amy October 14, 2014 at 14:40 #

boring dress, it does nothing for her
    hair & makeup: flawless

The best Dior look we’ve had in months. She looks chic as hell. Love her hair at this length, glad to see she’s growing it out.

  13. towanda October 14, 2014 at 14:05 #

    a boring, dated look :/

The jacket dress isn’t the best or most exciting but that closeup is gorgeous.

    • Nicky October 15, 2014 at 03:10 #

Agreed, her eye makeup is beautiful!

  15. sophie October 14, 2014 at 13:15 #

ZZZZZ shoes. I get the appeal of the tuxedo dress but she could have chosen better shoes and earrings.

Jennifer isn’t into fashion. If she was, she would fire Rachel Zoe and go back to Elizabeth Stewart.

  16. Emmeline October 14, 2014 at 12:57 #

The dress is kind of dull, but I think this is the best her hair and makeup has looked in a long, long time.

  17. eminere October 14, 2014 at 12:19 #

Isn’t this Dior look a little tired by now? It’s not very exciting.

  18. Christine October 14, 2014 at 11:38 #

She sells it beautifully. Black pumps and all

  19. Mick October 14, 2014 at 11:24 #

Not earth-shattering, but she looks good, in a low-key and classy way.
But there are other deployments of the Dior dress-jacket I have loved much more, i.e.

  20. Marcel October 14, 2014 at 11:13 #

There are serious flaws in the making of this jacket. First and most evident is the twisted fabric of the sleeves. Even in different arm positions (in different pictures)the fabric is always twisted.
Second , the lapel does not form a smooth line . There are kind of “bumps” there.
Third, the buttoning ( only seem in different pictures )
Unacceptable for a house like Dior, sorry.

    • sophie October 14, 2014 at 13:13 #

I agree. Dior should be perfect.
