Mia Maestro In Emilio Pucci – 2014 NCLR ALMA Awards

Mia Maestro In Emilio Pucci - 2014 NCLR ALMA Awards

Mia Maestro attended the 2014 NCLR ALMA Awards held at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium on Friday (October 10) in Pasadena, California.

You may remember Mia from the Venice Film Festival, where her preferred designer was Emilio Pucci and her favourite colour was blue. That trend continued at this event.

Her Emilio Pucci dress, which screams Resort with its white and navy-blue stripes and geometric pattern, features an open back adding sultry appeal.

Injecting an arresting dose of high impact to the red carpet, this vibrant look was styled with a blue Nancy Gonzalez clutch and a selection of jewels from Suzanne Kalan and Le Vian.

Too casual-looking, cheap-looking and not flattering.

I wish this was a top and a long skirt. The one dress with the stripes is a bit much

The dress is unflattering, but her pose also too casual.

The fit in the top part of the dress isn’t very flattering IMO.

She’s beautiful, but all the stripes are giving me a headache.

Is it me or it is really ill-fitted ? Around the waist and the bust mainly, but even the sleeves seem too long and the dress itself… It poodles on the floor… It really looks like the dress is a size too big for her.

Exactly. I like the dress but she isn’t selling it at all.

No, too many stripes. I’d suggest at least stripe-free sleeves and only maybe 2-3 stripes on the upper part of the bodice (to balance the ones on the skirt) with the mid solid white.
