Best Dressed Of The Week - Lizzy Caplan In Donna Karan Atelier, Emma Stone In Valentino Couture

It was a week where glamour came back to the red carpet, with the Emmy Awards and the Venice Film Festival, and it’s from those two events that you couldn’t separate your favourites.

Lizzy Caplan swept you away in her Donna Karan Atelier black and white gown and Emma Stone was breathtaking making her return to the red carpet with a new ‘do in Valentino Couture.

I, on the other hand, had narrowed my favourites down to four. After much deliberation I picked Allison Williams in her enchanting Giambattista Valli Couture gown, which may have been too princessey for some, but this look swept me away.

There were many fine gents in suits this week. Mostly all black, so how do you pick them apart?

By the impeccable tailoring, slight detailing – such as contrasting buttons, a pocket square and straight bow tie – and of course devilishly good looks play their part, so up steps Nikolaj Coster-Waldau in Salvatore Ferragamo to collect his prize for the win.

Emma Stone is overrated. All the Emmy looks in the poll were far better

So many great looks this week, I couldn’t possibly choose a favorite but I’m happy to see Lizzy Caplan up there, she looked impeccable in a way that everyone can agree on.

Allison looked lovely but it’s far from the most amazing Couture we’ve seen. The bodice looked like it was designed by a 5 year old and the silhouette was just basic. But it’s def. the freshest pick of the 3, the other 2 looks are a bit stale in comparison imo.
Nikolaj was an easy winner on all fronts, agreed.
