Julianne Hough In Dsquared² – 2014 Emmy Awards

Julianne Hough In Dsquared² – 2014 Emmy Awards

Dancer-actress Julianne Hough was a vision in white at the 2014 Emmy Awards at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles on Monday (August 25).

Her white satin strapless dress with large waistline bow and poufy skirt is from Dsquared² Spring 2014. The international fashion house, headed up by twin designers Dean and Dan Caten, is a favorite among celebrity guys and gals.

Julianne’s accessories include a simple diamond necklace by Chopard, an emerald Swarovski clutch and white Casedei stiletto pumps.

Do you agree that Julianne’s carefree do, healthy tan and natural makeup are an improvement over the runway look?

Eek. Not the right fit of designer and style of dress for Julianne. She goes girly when she should go sporty glam as Olivia Munn should as well.

Julianne looks best in Kaufman Franco.

Hair and makeup are an improvement alright, but this dress is boxy and wrinkly and those hideous shoes aren’t helping.

    No to the styling

She looks like Cruella de Vil. The dress is like a huge plastic bag. She certainly is gorgeous, but her is styling is hideous.

Ugh! I can’t see her face and hair because of the ugly hefty bag she’s wearing, and those shoes are heinous!

She looks like a runaway bride and further more why is she at every award show coming and going?

I like the idea of this, but not the execution.

+1. I think this looks too bridal. And I really hate the shoes.

  8. Peony August 26, 2014 at 07:37 #

    Bridal, and not particularly flattering.

Total fail. That is what happens when you choose a label well known for making jeans and t shirts to dress you at the red carpet. I hope at least she had been paid to wear this “thing”.

Way too much fabric! Plus the styling is lacklustre….what’s with the white pumps? She tries hard but often fails…

I don’t like this at all. The dress is unflattering on her waist and the styling is all wrong. The gown itself looks like a wedding dress,no need to add matching bridal shoes.

Hair, makeup and tan are an improvement indeed but they can’t save a dress that is awful to begin with. Poor choice for her.

The dress overwhelms her. I like her hair and makeup but this dress does not work on her.

  14. Lisa August 26, 2014 at 15:44 #

I do not love the dress and the shoes don’t help. It would have been really good if she found shoes to match her clutch. Hair and makeup are good.

I actually like the necklace in the lookbook, but not the hair & makeup.

I never like what she is wearing-she needs a stylist!

  16. kane August 28, 2014 at 13:08 #

Nothing she could pull off I’m afraid. Would love to see someone else try it though.

This reminds me of a bad prom outfit from the 80’s or 90’s that someone would look back on regret instantly! It’s like they wrapped white fabric around her and tied it with a bow. Awful!
