Ashley Madekwe In Christian Dior & Wes Gordon – BAFTA Los Angeles TV Tea Party & Variety And Women In Film Emmy Nominee Celebration

Ashley Madekwe In Christian Dior & Wes Gordon - BAFTA Los Angeles TV Tea Party & Variety And Women In Film Emmy Nominee Celebration

Ashley Madekwe took the red carpet by storm on Saturday (August 23) evening starting at the BAFTA Los Angeles TV Tea Party before moving onto the Variety And Women In Film Emmy Nominee Celebration.

BAFTA Los Angeles TV Tea Party: Ashley made me swoon upon seeing her wearing a blue Christian Dior jumpsuit featuring one leg wider than the other. Never one to over style, the chic tailored look was teamed with two-tone blue and black sandals and a white Alexander McQueen clutch for a touch of cool-Britannia.

Variety And Women In Film Emmy Nominee Celebration: You may remember that Lindsay Ellingson wore this same Wes Gordon Spring 2014 nude silk crepe dress with yellow vine lace inserts two-weeks ago. I’m pleasantly surprised, and shocked, that dress couldn’t look more different on Ashley. This is the dress I loved on the runway. Perhaps it’s the styling, her skin-tone, pose or just the better fit that makes this work in a way Lindsay couldn’t make happen.

Judging by the first part of your comment..I am gonna guess you meant either never fails to amaze or never disappoints! ;)

Loll oh that was silly of me!

Let me rephrase…she never fails to amaze!

        Thank you ;)

The Christian Dior is my favourite. What a colour!

  4. Marcel August 24, 2014 at 10:05 #

The Dior look is to die for. I love it.

  5. Iva August 24, 2014 at 10:10 #

    I prefer the first one.

A total style star. The design of the Dior jumpsuit is a disaster waiting to happen imo (one leg wider than the other? *eye roll*). And the other look was less than stellar on someone else. Yet Ashley looks fab in both — easy peasy. Just wonderful.

Ashley is one of my faves. I hope she gets a designer endorsement deal.

I hate to say it but… if Ashley was white that would have happened already. She certainly deserves it. She consistently nails it!

Sad to think that you’re probably right.

    Her first look is perfect!

The 1st – I only like the blue color. Other than that, it’s a bland lopsided chunk of fabric, needed more lipcolor and a better hair.
She wears the 2nd look well, I’m just not too fond of the nude part of the dress. I don’t think it contrasts particularly well with yellow.

The first look is phenomenal. Love that jumpsuit. And this woman. She makes the Wes Gordon dress speak.

Love them both. Thank goodness for Madekwe.

Not a fan of the Wes Gordon dress stall. Nude and yellow? Looks cheap.

Not crazy about either, but she definitely gives the clothes their best shots!

Love the blue jumpsuit but an embellished belt or contrasting pop-colour shoe would’ve really made the outfit.
