Ashley Madekwe also made an appearance at Comic-Con International 2014 in San Diego, California, where she was spotted at two events on Saturday (July 26) in two simply chic looks.
Comic-Con Nintendo Lounge: The actress boarded the TV Guide Nintendo Yacht where she kept her look decidedly non-nautical in a McQ by Alexander McQueen Fall 2014 dress with Saint Laurent nude sandals. With the rich royal-purple hue of the frock and its asymmetrical peplum-inspired structure, little else was needed to complete the look, which she made summer appropriate. Long waves and barely-there makeup did the trick.
Entertainment Weekly’s Annual Comic-Con Celebration: For EW’s party at Hard Rock Hotel’s Float, Ashley upped the style ante and gave us another look at Christian Dior’s Spring 2014 collection in this strapless dress worn with Dior shoes. Rather well-suited to the spirit of Comic-Con, the frock’s futuristic shiny metallic silver printed skirt was the main attraction, which Ashley carried off beautifully with a minimal black clutch and a slicked-back ’do.

This woman can do no wrong.
Though we’ve seen that Dior skirt print many times she’s managed to present it beautifully and not look boring.
I just love Ashley’s style. Both looks are gorgeous, I’m loving both.
QUIT THE DIOR Spring 2014 collection. IT’S BEEN WORN TO PIECES.
Love rthe. McQ, and she almost makes me like those dumb annoying emblem patches. Best that Dior conncept has looked.
I adore her take on Dior – she works the brand SO much better than J-Law (imo)
She looks ok in both, I far prefer the second…she looks chic and so very ladylike.
My first thought was Selenas Dior-attempt, too and while I always admitted that it was rather poor, comparing the two Selena lookedeven more… poor. Ashleys Dior look is really flawless.
But I still prefer the McQ look. The color is just striking and it’s styled perfectly.
As usual, she looks very chic and we’ll put together. But I especially appreciate her take on Dior, and her ability to wash Serena Gomez ‘ s attempt at the same, right out of my head. If you’re going to wear Dior, simple will always be the way to go.
she looks great in both. i own the Dior skirt but wear it with a different top as i loathe the emblems so i am a bit biased
I adore both looks, Ashley is up there for me, love her style
J’adore the deep purple McQ. She even makes Dior palatable, even though I really, deeply and intensely dislike that patch.
LOVE both outfits!
Love her Dior look. Gorgeous chic!
