Laura Carmichael In Erdem – ‘Downton Abbey’ Summer TCA Tour Photocall

Laura Carmichael In Erdem - ‘Downton Abbey’ Summer TCA Tour Photocall

Laura Carmichael joined her ‘Downton Abbey’ co-stars Michelle Dockery and Joanne Froggatt for the Los Angeles photocall held at The Beverly Hilton Hotel on Tuesday (July 22) in Beverly Hills, California.

Wearing a vivid red floral-embroidered sleeveless Erdem Pre-Fall 2014 dress with a solid black back panel, the actress interestingly styled the look with Rupert Sanderson ‘Elba’ pumps, when perhaps black would’ve been the most obvious choice.

Wavy tresses, kohl-rimmed eyes and a complementary glossy lip colour rounded out her look.

This dress is weird. First I thought that the look missed a belt, but then I saw those things that look like a pocket… Erdem and Laura can do it better.

The dress needs some definition. Like a thin belt

    Not liking the dress.

Every time I see one of the Downton actors in anything but their costumes I do a double take. Like ‘Joanne can’t be hanging out with Michelle”. I don’t know if it’s because Downton is period piece, or if it’s because the majority of the actors I had never seen before Downton.

Looks like wallpaper from the 70s. Just nasty this dress is. and strange pockets or whatever it is shes holding.

I kinda think that she pulls it off. She looks effortlessly great.

The ‘Nudist’ sandals in black would have been great.

I like the dress, including the long straight lines. My only quibble is that the shoes are a few shades too light–they really draw your eye with cuts off that long line. I would have preferred a nude pump or sandal that matched her skin tones better.

I think she’s wearing my favourite outfit of the Downtown ladies.
