Lizzy Caplan In Marchesa – CBS, CW And Showtime Party

Lizzy Caplan In Marchesa - CBS, CW And Showtime Party

Lizzy Caplan was back on the red carpet for the 2014 Television Critics Association Summer Press Tour – CBS, CW And Showtime Party held at the Pacific Design Center on Thursday (July 17) in West Hollywood, California.

On this occasion the actress wore a Marchesa Fall 2014 strapless dress featuring a crescent-shaped neckline and copper embroidery throughout.

I love how she styled the look with rose-gold accessories including Erickson Beamon jewelry to complement the threadwork on her dress; however, even though her Sophia Webster ‘Lacey’ strappy sandals mimic the runway styling, a simpler style of sandal – or keeping the sandals and shortening the frock – would’ve worked better for me as I feel the dress length and sandals are at odds.

Gorgeous dress. But like her last excellent choice, not quite everything it could be (although still very nice).

    Love this!!!

Well, I think this is BDOTW-worthy. She looks fantastic, I love the dress.

I agree with you FC. I think a simpler shoe would have been better. She still looks pretty good.

BDOTW worthy, I think. I agree about the shoe choice and that a simple nude pump or sandal would have sufficed, or had the hemline taken up.

The dress is stunning, but you’re so right about the sandals. As sick as I am of seeing them and having so many looks rely on them, the Nudists would have been perfect here. Darn.

+1. Except for the shoes, this is one of her best looks ever.

BOTW!!! Wow what a dress! Love the earrings too!

The dress is chic and interesting but a pair of Stuart Weitzman ‘nudist’ sandals would have been great.

Perfect assessment. Either the length needed to be shortened or needed a simpler sandal – the strap-busy sandals don’t go with this length.

I agree about the shoes. They collide with the length of the dress. But other than that she looks amazing. Her hair & makeup are especially fab.

agree with FC on every point. the combination of the odd length of the dress and the high strappy heels is a bit off. other than that she looks gorgeous.
