Get The Look: Judy Greer’s ‘Married’ LA Premiere Summer Braid & Rich Red Lip

Get Judy Greer's 'Married' LA Premiere Summer Braid & Rich Red Lip

Celebrity hairstylist Gregory Russell and celebrity makeup artist Tamah Krinsky worked with Judy Greer for the premiere of FX’s new series ‘Married’ this week.

Here’s how they created her gorgeous red carpet look.

HAIR

Gregory started with Kevin Murphy Resort Spray applied to Judy’s damp hair and then he blew it out with an Ibiza round brush before applying some Leonor Greyl Éclat Naturel to the ends of Judy’s hair.

Next, he parted the hair down the centre and pinned up the crown section to braid last.
Then he French braided each side back and fastened the end of the braid with a clear elastic before braiding the crown section (just a regular braid, not a French braid). He then pulled out a few pieces around the face and loosened each of the braids and roughed them up a bit.

After spraying more Kevin Murphy Resort Spray, Gregory pinned the side braids into two low buns and connected them with the crown braid to complete the look, which was finished with Kérastase Laque Couture spray.

MAKEUP

Tamah likes to keep things light in summer, even for a red carpet, so the inspiration for Judy’s look came from her lovely tomato-red Jimmy Choo clutch.

Both Tamah and Judy thought the pop of red was a great accessory, and who doesn’t love a red lip?

To balance, Tamah gave Judy what she likes to call her ‘summer smoky eye’, giving the eyes definition but staying away from dark colours. To complete the look Tamah warmed Judy up with a little bronzer as opposed to blush. It is summer after all!

Here’s how to get the look.

Eyes: Tamah started by applying a thin layer of Benefit Creaseless Cream Eye Shadow in Flatter Me with a fluffy brush to keep it sheer. Next, she used a touch of the top and bottom left shadows from the Dior 030 Incognito Eyeshadow Quad. Then she used the bottom right as a liner under the lower lash line. She finished off the eyes by applying Bobbi Brown Gel Liner in black directly to the upper lash line, topping it off with Lancôme Hypnôse Star Mascara in Black.

Cheeks: Using a touch of Make Up For Ever 033 Dark Antique Pink as a base, she topped with Bobbi Brown Bronzing Powder in Medium 2. Tamah then applied the bronzer with a medium-sized fluffy brush – preferring one that is angled for bronzer. She then applied this to the cheeks and swept it over the bridge of the nose, where the sun would naturally bronze.

Skin: Koh Gen Do Maifanshi Foundation in 113 was applied as foundation and concealer, followed by Laura Mercier Translucent Powder to set.

Lips: Tamah used NYX Butter Lipstick in JuJu Amulette and MAC lip liner in Redd to set the lip line.
