Michelle Obama In Tanya Taylor – Naturalization Ceremony

Michelle Obama In Tanya Taylor - Naturalization Ceremony

Michelle Obama attended a special naturalization ceremony held at the National Archives on Wednesday (June 18) in Washington DC, where she took to the podium to give a speech.

The First Lady wore a delightful rainbow scroll-print dress from Tanya Taylor’s Spring 2014 collection.

This is a huge coup for the young designer, who has built a strong celebrity following in such a short time that includes the likes of Zoey Deutch, Jessica Alba, Mandy Moore and Gillian Jacobs.

Her ultra-feminine frock was complemented with a silver belt and styled with Jimmy Choo grey kitten heels and white drop earrings, which allowed the dress to shine.

It’s summer in a dress.

The dress is so beautiful and summery but I prefer the way the model wore it.

I agree. The changes done to the dress take it down a notch, bringing it to ‘nice summer dress’ level. Looked more interesting on the runway.

Nice look apart from the shoes

I agree with everyone before me- the runway’s version is more summery and fun. She needed purple or blue heels. Hers are boring.

I wish the heel was higher and a statement necklace would’ve been nice too

Prefer the top on the runway but Michelle wore it in a perfectly appropriate manner.

Gorgeous. The runway version has appeal but the modification is beautifully suited to the person and place. Love the styling.
