Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge In Christopher Kane – Garter Ceremony

Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge In Christopher Kane - Garter Ceremony

Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, watched as Queen Elizabeth II led the Knights of the Garter to the Most Noble Order of the Garter Ceremony from the Galilee Porch on Monday (June 16) in Windsor, England.

Opting for yet another repeat, the Duchess wore a Christopher Kane pale blue coat dress with a matching hat from Lock & Co.

Her favourite LK Bennett ‘Natalie’ raffia clutch and a new pair of nude pumps courtesy of Jimmy Choo completed the look.

Catherine first wore this coat dress back in July 2012 while attending a pre-Olympics reception. We were baffled that this look didn’t have a trace of Christopher Kane’s usual aesthetic.

Now, those coat dresses are just blending into one.

You can buy Catherine’s Jimmy Choo ‘Gilbert’ Pumps from, Neiman Marcus, Bergdorf Goodman, Jimmy Choo US and Jimmy Choo UK.

I don’t care one bit that she repeats outfits but I really don’t understand why you post on them. There are tons of celebs outfits that you skip so why not her. Yes post the new stuff but why bother with the repeats. You’re just repeating yourself over and over.

I don’t really like the hat one bit. The coat is OK, but you’d think she’d add some jewelry to it, or maybe change the belt?

The beige shoes and bag don’t go with the coat. I think she should have worn some printed fabric pumps (or some sort of shoe with a design detail) with this to bring some life to the ensemble.

Who cares for the rules of fashion when one always looks timelessly beautiful?

Why would someone have a cool talented designer make them something so deprived of actual design for an event? I don’t expect the Duchess to be extremely fashionable, but it’s as if she’s not even trying most of the time. The entire world is watching. Throw us a bone.

Lord I’m gonna ask a stupid question. Its a dress coat…so is she wearing another dress under the coat or just the coat as a dress??

I never heard of a coat dress before the duchess.

A coat dress is basically a coat in lighter more fluid fabric that you can wear alone as a dress or over another dress or separates as an extra layer 🙂

Catherine, dear why you keep posting on her? If she is dull and boring, then why the constant posts? Especially if it’s a repeat of the same coat or outfit lol. Relevancy? Or just because. Just wondering 🙂

Good question Christine. Why is she constantly covered and Princess Letizia never is?

I hoping she will take a look at herself and make that change.

      • Christine June 17, 2014 at 21:54 #

That would be a long time waiting then! lol
