While you think I may have over-looked the actress, I honestly didn’t recognise her with her new raven hair colour. As someone who often doesn’t like dramatic changes, I am surprised at how much I love the new colour.
In the space of four days, she gave us four great looks. Each one better than the last.
‘Defiance’ Photocall: On Monday (June 9) she started off the week in fine style attending the ‘Defiance’ photocall wearing a pretty watercolour floral print you may recognise as Elena Reva. You may remember that both Holland Roden and Jennifer Morrison have donned this print. The look was styled with Rupert Sanderson silver mirrored ‘Elba’ pumps, Karine Sultan and a Suzanne Kalan.
Cocktail Reception: Wearing the same Rupert Sanderson from earlier in the day, the actress opted for a super sexy glam look for the cocktail reception on Monday evening. The vivid red hue of her part-lace, part-chiffon Rhea Costa dress works wonders with her new dyed tresses. Le Vian earrings and a M.C.L. ring perfected this stunning look.
Photocall: Attending her second photocall on Tuesday (June 10), the actress opted for something a bit more playful wearing a black floral print Rhea Costa dress, opting to wear the Rupert Sanderson pumps a third successful outing. Opting for a dark red lip colour, she completed this look with Amrapali earrings. You may remember that Laura Vandervoort wore the gown version of this look.
Closing Ceremony: Unlike Jennifer Morrison, Julie Benz had a 100% hit record at the event. Her last look, again from Elena Reva, was stunning. The shimmering berry-hue strapless design was styled with Ivy earrings and a Antonini ring.
I’m not sure, if it’s the new hairstyle, the fact that Elena Reva works so well for her or the Monte Carlos sunshine, but these are some of Julie’s best ever looks.
It was hard to pick a favourite, but I will have to go with the red Elena Reva dress.
