Get The Look: Rose Byrne’s Women in Film Crystal + Lucy Awards Intense Smoky Eye

Rose Byrne 2Celebrity makeup artist Georgie Eisdell worked on Rose Byrne’s makeup for the 2014 Women in Film Crystal + Lucy Awards.

Inspired by her silver lamé Max Mara strapless jumpsuit, Georgie said, “Rose had a modern ’70?s vibe going on, so I wanted to keep her makeup really clean, cool and chic.”

Here’s how to get her look.

The focus was all on her eyes. Georgie started by using Laura Mercier Matte Eye Shadow in Buttercream all over her eyelids for a flawless base.

Then she mixed Laura Mercier Matte Eye Shadow in Twilight Grey with NARS Eye Shadow in Namibia to get the perfect medium shade of grey.

This colour was applied over her lid, blending into the crease slightly to create a smoky effect. The colour was also applied under her eyes to create a deeper smoky effect, graduating from stronger to lighter toward the inner corner under the eye.

Three layers of CoverGirl LashBlast Volume Mascara in Black concluded things in the eye area.

Rose’s skin was evened out using L’Oreal True Match Foundation and powdered all over with Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Powder.

A very small amount of Laura Mercier Second Skin Cheek Color in Honey Mocha was applied to the apple of the cheek and blended back slightly towards the ear.

To define her brows, Laura Mercier Brow duo in Ash was used.

And on her lips, Hourglass Femme Nude Lip Color in Nude #4 gave her a natural pout.

Finally, Tom Ford’s Bronzing Powder in Terra was very lightly applied to the forehead, cheekbones, and chin to add a little warmth.
