Princess Leonore of Sweden’s Christening

Princess Leonore's Royal Christening in Sweden

Royals attended the christening of Princess Leonore of Sweden held at the Royal Chapel at Drottningholm Palace on Sunday (June 8) in Stockholm, Sweden.

Princess Madeleine of Sweden: Wearing a typical feminine, elegant, and oh so ladylike Valentino lace dress detailed with a delicate scalloped hem in a pretty pink hue, she added a matching veil and tonal heels.

Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden: Also opting for pink, Victoria was the picture of feminine elegance wearing a Dolce & Gabbana pale-rose jacquard dress nipped in at the waist with a crystal-embellished belt. Wearing the same tonal heels, she added a matching Bottega Veneta clutch and a Philip Treacy turban-like headpiece. You may remember that Camila Alves wore this same dress earlier this year.

Queen Silvia of Sweden: The Queen also wore a pretty lace dress, looking splendid wearing a Valentino long-sleeved duck-egg-blue lace dress styled with a matching veiled fascinator, a string of pearls and nude pumps.

Sofia Hellqvist: Opting for all white, Sofia wore a Valerie A-line sleeveless frock styled with a collarless lightweight coat, a matching veiled fascinator and white pumps.

As always, Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden steals the spotlight here.

Princess Victoria was indeed my favourite too! What was interesting is that the head piece was recreated after the on her mother wore on Victoria’s brother christening (and little Princess Estelle wore a dress that belonged to her mother).

Also, only a day before this event another princess wore the Dolce & Gabbana dress, this time being Princess Marie-Chantal of Greece, at the Epsom Derby.

Thank you for this post !
I love Madeleine, but this look is too short ! Her shoes are from Valentino :)
Victoria and Silvia look gorgeous ! Silvia really has a good figure ! And Victoria knows how to dress for the occasion !
Sofia’s dress is too short ! When she was sitting, we could see almost everything ! However , she is beautiful !

Ahhh, another royal event I am not so sure about. All this pastel is just a little bit too sweet for me.
Victoria looks stylish, Sofia looks good (minus the cutesy clutch and bar the few inches she might have added). The lace department, however, doesn’t do it for me at all. I don’t like the shade of Silvia’s dress sadly and Madeleine got it all wrong with the cut and length of the dress and the colour of it and her tan. A rather unflattering look I must say–and I haven’t even started on the fishnet yet. Colour-wise I would actually go with Estelle, that’s one pretty dress to look at. Style-wise with Victoria and overall… maybe one of the other godparents.
I appreciate that they didn’t try to stay away from girly pink, also the little nods to the past (Victoria’s headpiece, Estelle’s dress), very sweet. But something non-pastel, non-laced for my eyes please.

Queen Silvia looks the best IMO.

Can’t decide between C.P. Victoria and Queen Silvia — both look lovely.

I love Victoria’s look! Everything about it is perfect, especially that little girl of hers ;)
Madeleine would look better if the dress was longer and with her hair back. It was all a bit too young for my taste.
Sofia looked lovely, but like Madeleine, it was too short.

These women all look very pretty. I actually love Victoria’s headpiece.

These women all look lovely, if a little bridal party-esque. Victoria’s hairpiece i particularly like.

I have such love for Princess Victoria, she is so stylish and elegant. I don’t recall ever disliking a look from her. All the ladies (little ones included) look lovely!

The sheer amount of pastel in these pictures is really putting me off.
