Samantha Cameron – 70th Anniversary of D-Day Ceremony

Samantha Cameron - 70th Anniversary of D-Day Ceremony

Samantha Cameron was also in attendance, joining Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, at the ceremony to mark the 70th anniversary of D-Day on Sword Beach on Friday (June 6) in Ouistreham, France.

Attending with her husband, British Prime Minister David Cameron, Samantha was the epitome of sophisticated chic in her tailored, heather gray suiting.

Fusing a structured silhouette with feminine lines, the one-button blazer featured a rounded strong shoulder and worked well both buttoned and unbuttoned over her white blouse and pencil skirt.

A gray fascinator added just the right touch of sleek charm to the look, with matching pumps completing the refined ensemble.

this is too costumey in my mind and completely wrong for the event-it is not a costume party. and the hat is jarring and suede is to heavy.

I really adore the cut of this suit. I’m on the fence about the suede shoes, but still the ensemble is so chic.

the suit’s fit is perfect. she looks chic and modern

It’s a nice ensemble, fits her perfectly. However I hate those shoes and the hat is unnecessary. Had she omitted the hat and changed the shoes I would’ve liked this much more.

This is much too one note for me. The suit is too corporate/masculine for the whimsy of the headpiece.

I like this. The suit worn with the collarless shirt, together with the hat, has a kind of Edwardian charm about it.

      Totally agree.

Not sure about the suede pumps but she looks just too fabulous I don’t care.

I loved this outfit so much, especially the nod to the 40′s. Stood out with its simpilicity from the sea of all the royal frou-frou.

I am in love. I think she looks amazing without trying too hard. It looks so effortless! And the outfit brings out her beautiful eyes.
