Cate Blanchett In Chanel – ‘How To Train Your Dragon 2′ Sydney Premiere

Cate Blanchett In Chanel - 'How To Train Your Dragon 2' Sydney Premiere

Following the LA premiere for ‘How To Train Your Dragon 2′ with American Ferrera on Sunday evening, Cate Blanchett took up the Australian leg of the tour earlier today (June 9), attending the Sydney premiere held at Event Cinemas George Street.

The Australian actress kept up the colourful embellished bodice trend she started at the Cannes Film Festival premiere, this time donning a Chanel Resort 2015 flared-sleeve black frock.

Her dress, which also features buttoned detailing going down both sides of the skirt, was styled with simple black pumps and little else in the way of jewels or a clutch.

She just let the dress and that heart-warming smile do all the work.

We weren’t too enamoured with her previous Givenchy gown, so how does this look fare?

It’s a nice dress, but I would have prefered different shoes.

I think a pink ones would have make this even cooler.

    Meh! too dowdy for her.

FC, thank you for retweeting that breath-taking cover of her in the GORGEOUS Armani Prive from Cannes. Thank god someone took a good picture of it.

It’s now my screen saver :D

God, yes. She looks impossibly beautiful in that cover. It is my favorite look of this year. Utter perfection.

This collection had much better pieces that she could’ve worn. I don’t really like, it’s boring which is very unlike Cate!

I think this is meh. I agree with Alina, this look could have been better with fun, colorful sandals.

This is so underwhelming. We all know she can bring it

    FRUMPY.

What is this?? Drab, dowdy, matronly, probably her worst look ever.

The shoes are on the safe side, but I like the look.

It is just ok. Nothing exciting of note worthy, just fine and pretty. And she looks gorgeous as always.

She carries this off, but something about this bugs me. I don’t know if it’s the sleeves or the overly long length of dress, or the unnecessary buttons, but this “Amish Night Out On The Town” vibe isn’t quite successful.

Lovely dress but nothing special and the shoes are boring.

I find this very chic in a laid back way. And I love the fact it has pockets in it.

I like this. It’s casual yet chic, and occasion-appropriate. She looks relaxed and elegant.

The Givenchy wasn’t great but I prefer it over this look. I find this kind of drab.
