Amma Asante In Jacques Azagury - 'Belle' London Premiere

Amma Asante attended the London premiere of ‘Belle’ held at BFI Southbank on Thursday (June 5) in London, England.

The director joined the star of the movie Gugu Mbatha-Raw wearing a Jacques Azagury Spring 2014 dress.

Her perfect-for-summer orange and silver shimmering brocade sleeveless frock with a rise-and-fall hemline is defined by a bell-shaped skirt which impressively maintains its structure.

Cream pumps, a selection of silver jewels and wavy tresses completed her gorgeous look.

What a stunning the dress! Would have liked a different shoe better though.

The top is fine, in fact the close up is gorgeous. But the skirt doesn’t work for me. Nor do the shoes.

This is spectacular. I am not a fan of this type of hemline, but this dress is beautiful and evokes the costumes in her exquisite film. Nicely done.

With this kind of hemline, the choice of shoes can make or break a whole look. Why didn’t she go for silver shoes, preferably sandals? *sigh*

Well, it’s a gorgeous brocade in a beautiful, flattering color — and it’s always a delight to see a director, producer, or writer glamming it up on the red carpet. They don’t HAVE to do it and I appreciate it when they do.
So I have to give this a thumbs up.

Yes! I finally get to see my newest girl-crush on your site FC-I’m very happy. Not only is she exceptionally talented but she also has beautiful style as showcased here, any chance of her being BDOTW please?
Also, mark my words, she will be the first black person to win a Best Director Oscar.
