Jennifer Lopez In Versace, Versus & Atelier Versace – Neighborhood Sessions Bronx Concert

Jennifer Lopez returned to the Bronx for her first ever hometown concert to launch State Farm Neighborhood Sessions on Wednesday (June 4) in Bronx, New York.

During her show-stopping performance, the singer donned a selection of Versace and Versus Versace pieces, opening with a custom-made Versus Versace green palm-print long-sleeved bodysuit with a matching tear-away skirt and gold safety-pin accents which was reminiscent of her iconic Grammy 2000 Versace moment.

Up next was a Versus Versace white halter keyhole top with matching high-waist shorts accented with an oversized gold safety-pin belt and gold mini safety pins down the side.

During the slow-dance ballad portion of the show, JLo donned a vibrant deep purple Atelier Versace Spring 2014 draped hooded gown accented with Swarovski detailing. I was very critical of this collection at Cannes as it didn’t fit the occasion; here, though, it works.

JLo’s penultimate look was a fiery red custom-made Atelier Versace long-sleeved hooded bodysuit with batwing sleeves, embroidered with red Swarovski crystals.

For the encore, the singer really brought the house down with a Versus Versace look that screamed Jenny from the Block, donning a multicoloured printed bodysuit with safety-pin details, and a matching custom-made Versus Versace printed bomber jacket with gold chain details topped off with a blinged-out gold crystallized New York Yankees cap.

It was the perfect ending.

There are many great looks here; I love the significance of the opening look, but each one was JLo through and through, and she of course topped off her looks with her favoured half-up, half-down Jenny from the Block hairstyle.

Love every single look, maybe the red one is my favourite one.
Several Versus Versace palm green pattern items are even availabre on Versace e-commerce site.

I like the purple dress. Otherwise I am so tired of all these high-waisted shorts. All these show outfits are so very same-y. Besides, I do get all the references to by gone Grammys and even premieres of Richard Curtis films, but plastering these outfits with safety pins makes them look horribly dated and lacking inspiration to me.

I loooove all of them! Bravo JLo and bravo Versace! ♥

I actually think all looks we’re great for this event! She looks good.

She always comes across as desperate to me. She tries so hard to hold onto the persona she had when she was at her peak. That replica of her iconic Grammy dress here proves my point.
I wish she would move on and embrace a more fashion-forward approach to dressing. I’m just so over the leotards, embellished jumpsuits and mini dresses. She can do so much better!

She’s not trying hard. It was a concert and her fans love her in these iconic clothes. They are like Madonna’s coe bra, Michael Jackson’s white socks or Elton John’s glasses. A celebration of her career.

She isn’t evolving. She is just as tacky as she was 14 years ago.

Not a fan of her hair style, its so dated. Not a fan of the outfits either unfortunately.

I only like the first look. Don’t care for the hairstyle.

She just literally hasn’t aged AT ALL since nearly 15 years ago when she wore that Versace dress. In fact, she looks damn near identical! And yet she really doesn’t seem to have had much ‘work’ done. Or if she has, it’s been extremely subtle.
