Beyonce Knowles In Mary Katrantzou – Out In New York City

Beyonce Knowles In Mary Katrantzou - Out In New York City

On Friday Beyonce Knowles was spotted making her way out of an office building as she was shielded from the rain by her bodyguard with a black umbrella in New York City sporting Rapunzel-like braids.

The singer didn’t let the rain dampen her spirits, donning a Mary Katrantzou Spring 2014 commercial look with a dazzling photorealistic print rendered with jewel clusters on this clean tulip-shaped cocktail dress.

Sadly, she overcooked the look with an overpowering belt, an Erickson Beamon ‘Bette’ necklace and a bright-blue croc tote.

Nicholas Kirkwood heels provided the finishing touches.

What would you have removed from this look?

Mm I hate the hair first and foremost. If the bag was taken away, I think it could work, belt and shoes could suffice…

Wouldn’t take away anything. Would just go with the picture on the left.

I’m sad to say that I dislike everything about this look except for the shoes.

I can’t help but wonder, where the hell does Bey find the time for SO MANY complex hairstyle changes? Do her days have 30 hours? Just… how?

I am a huge fan of her, she is one of the most talented women in history, her singing, her dancing, her entertainment abilities are just superb… But fashion?, no. Never has been, and I think it’ll never be.

    Horrible look.

It’s the belt and shoes that bug me. Too clunky and brown for the dress. I like the braids.

Oh Lord. She goes from bad to worse.

    Overkill for sure

Those sandals are the only thing I stare at right now.

Rachel Bilson wore something similar (same label) much better at the CW Upfront.

The hair is the worst distraction, then I’d remove the necklace and the bag. The belt and the shoes I can live with – they coordinate well with each other and prevent the look from being too cutesy and ‘little girl’ for her.

      +1 well said.

The shoes and the belt were needed for her not to fall into twee territory. The rest had to go though.

    1) those long ass braids are too much
    2) that tacky bag
    3) the hideous belt and necklace
    4) those shoes ( replace them with a daintier sandal like the YSL Jane or a Manolo or the stuart weitzman nudist )
    5) her stylist

Lol agree with all, esp. 5 (which unfortunately might be herself or mum)

      • Simon June 6, 2014 at 20:31 #

Nope her stylist is named Ty Hunter. I agree she should change…

The necklace and bag need to go. The bag is the worst part. Otherwise, she could’ve gotten away with it.

This is terribly styled. This is a dainty dress, so the styling needs to be dainty, I’m sorry. The hair, the necklace, the Kardasian-esque bag and the edgy shoes aren’t working for me at all.
