Halle Berry collected the Global Icon Award during the Huading Film Awards on Sunday (June 1) which were held at Ricardo Montalban Theatre in Los Angeles, California. This was the first time China’s #1 film awards has been held in the U.S.
The actress, who made Elie Saab a household name by wearing one of his gowns to the 2002 Oscars, went back into the designer’s archive to select her look for this occasion.
Her Elie Saab black floral-embroidered gown featuring sheer sleeves and a lace-accented side slit, hails from the Spring 2003 Couture collection, the first Couture collection by the Lebanese designer.
Even though this dress is old, it is refreshing to see something different from Elie Saab; as I noted in my Elle Fanning post, those beaded gowns are all starting to feel like red carpet repeats.
