Paz Vega In Ralph & Russo Couture - 'A Fistful of Dollars' Cannes Screening & Closing Ceremony

Paz Vega attended the Closing Ceremony and ‘A Fistful of Dollars’ screening during the 67th Annual Cannes Film Festival this evening (May 24) in Cannes, France.

The Spanish actress glided down the red carpet wearing a Ralph & Russo Spring 2014 Couture embellished gown, featuring a black rose detail on the shoulder that cascaded down the bodice and around her waist.

Just a simple updo and Chopard ball drop earrings completed her glamorous outing.

Beautiful dress but kind of reminds me of Nieves Alvarez Stephand Rolland gown.

She looks amazing but reminds me so much of Nieves’s dress

yes, its too similar to the stephane rolland that i don’t like it. any other event but feels too forced wearing a ‘deja vu’ to the same festival the following year.

Nieves wore the Stéphane Rolland to the Goyas. Her Cannes look was the red dress that always makes me wonder if it’s one of her hip bones sticking out of her body to hold the train (sorry to be so graphic, but that’s what has always kept me from loving it).

Hadn’t Stephane Rolland made a very similar dress some time ago ?
She looks beautiful. I love the earrings most of all.

This is perfection in my eyes. J’adore.

  8. dedel May 24, 2014 at 18:55 #

J’adore too ! The train is amazing …

    • dedel May 24, 2014 at 19:53 #

And this is Cannes, so I don’t think the flwoer is too big, that’s the perfect size.

      • Nat39 May 25, 2014 at 02:38 #

I agree, the bold rose detail is a perfect touch of artistic drama, it makes the look.

  9. Nat39 May 24, 2014 at 19:00 #

The rossette design is, in fact, quite familiar but what a great way to close the event – dramatic, glamorous, sophistiated, her elegant styling is on point, she looks h2t fabulous.

      YES!

This gown was made for Cannes so glad it got the red carpet treatment it deserves.

  13. anjos May 24, 2014 at 19:45 #

This is both gorgeous and fashionably daring. Everyone else take note.

  14. irina May 24, 2014 at 19:56 #

Like so many before me I am of course reminded of *that* dress and while this doesn’t have to be outright plagiarism it’s certainly more than a nod to the Stéphane Rolland. I do have to say though the effect of the rich detailing of the gown itself and the, at least in terms of colour, understated application has quite a different effect than Nieves’ look that keeps it interesting for me. Even more importantly Paz pulls it off without a doubt.

what is that thing on her shoulder?

  18. Alex V May 25, 2014 at 03:13 #

The black belt wasn’t necesary, I think it distracts the attention to the flower detail.

  19. Alina May 25, 2014 at 05:23 #

    Flawless. I love it!

  20. Moxie May 26, 2014 at 15:59 #

I’m in the minority for not loving this dress. Looks like a plain gown with a giant corsage to me. Rip off of Nieves’ Stephane Rolland gown (which I was also in the minority for disliking).
