Lily Allen In Chanel Couture – Ivor Novello Awards

Lily Allen In Chanel Couture - Ivor Novello Awards

Fresh from Cannes, Lily Allen attended the Ivor Novello Awards held at The Grosvenor House Hotel today (May 22) in London, England.

Continuing her unwavering love for all things Chanel, the singer wore a Spring 2010 Couture mauve sequined tunic accented with floral appliqués.

Styled with the same yellow Chanel clutch she sported last time out and her favoured punchy pink lip, the look was completed with a pair of quadruple-stacked Christian Louboutin ‘Daffodile’ platform pumps.

I had hoped we had seen the back of these hooves on the red carpet.

Apart from the shoes and the clutch, this is a really cute look. Love the contrasting lipstick

Lily Allen either looks cute or brings tackyness to Chanel. Sorry, but hooker heels and a fake tan with Chanel? Please.

I like the tunic but the styling lets it down. From the hair to the shoes, no.

She apparently loves Chanel, unfortunately Chanel does not seem to “love” her.
Is she the face of the brand?

From the ankles up, I think she looks ok.

The color doesn’t work with her fake tan wich isn’t exactly flattering itself. The clutch doesn’t go with the lip color and neither works with the tunic. The hairstyle doesn’t work with it either and I’m not fond of it anyway.
Looks like someone photoshopped at least three completely different looks into one.

The shoes are simply ugly, but only the tip of the iceberg.
    Not liking this at all.

I loved the braid, the lipstick and the dress and then I saw the shoes! Great way to destroy an otherwise cute outfit!
Personally, I think Chanel doesn’t really suit her aesthetic anyway. She used to be the face of their handbags (not sure why Karl thought this was a good idea) so she must still be some kind of red carpet ambassador?
