Karlie Kloss In Chanel Couture – amfAR Cinema Against Aids Gala

Karlie Kloss In Chanel Couture - amfAR Cinema Against Aids Gala

Karlie Kloss returned to the red carpet this evening (May 22) for the annual amfAR Cinema Against AIDS gala held at the Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc in Cap d’Antibes, France.

Following her disappointing Valentino look for the opening ceremony, this Chanel Fall 2011 Couture look is a vast improvement, although the navy dress, accented with tonal and silver pearls, looks like something Anna Wintour would wear.

Styled with Bulgari, the model, as previously, opted for comfortable flats for this outing.

Much improved, or will you never get her red carpet style?

this is better. still the dress does nothing for her figure, it’s hanging on her.

A beautiful dress, but it’s aging.

clean and beautiful. I like it.

I love Karlie but she always looks like an old lady on the red carpet

Although I’m a huge fan of her when she smashes on runways, I deplore that she’s always blah on red carpet …
I still couldn’t believe that she looked way better at L’Wren Scott funerals that she did at amfAR !!

I’m such a fan of hers on the runway, but I just don’t usually get her red carpet style unfortunately.

Me too. This is such an aging look.

It looks way better on her than on the model, but of all the dresses available to her, why would she pick this one?

The details if this couture dress are made for an elder woman, like those who really buy couture, but this is far far better than what she has wear on previous red carpets. Those shoes shouldn’t be close to this dress, ever!

Aging and unflattering but those issues could’ve been overlooked if her styling was better. The dress has somewhat of a 20′s vibe which she should’ve taken advantage of for a better overall result.

The dress is actually pretty interesting, but her styling falls flat.

Looks nice, still very mature for her. I think this look would be perfect for Sofia Coppola. Not very much for 21 years old.

    Way too Golden Girls.

Well, an improvement from the Valentino-disaster isn’t really hard, is it?
From the first look, you don’t even recognise her. This look is simple, graceful and feminim.
    Definetly a win for me.

I wonder why she doesn’t have more fun with fashion? She always dresses older than her age which is strange considering she’s a young supermodel!
This dress is great though…just not for her and not with flats IMO

It’s better than her previous look, but still not good enough. Wondering if she has a stylist, if yes, she needs to switch to another one, if no, find one. Her red carpet styles always seems a lot weaker than her runway.

I love this! I think the color and draping of the beads are beautiful on her. I also really like the flats. While it could have easily translated on an older woman as well, on Karlie I think the styling gives it an offbeat glamour that is perfect for a 21 year old supermodel. I hope she wears more Chanel.

For someone who’s been the face of Dela Renta, Donna Karan, Dior, and other big brands, she can’t have a great gown? Geez. She’s a great model but her style needs an intervention.

She wears it better than the model.
