Jessica Chastain In Elie Saab Couture – ‘Foxcatcher’ Cannes Film Festival Premiere

Jessica Chastain In Elie Saab Couture - 'Foxcatcher' Cannes Film Festival Premiere

Jessica Chastain attended the ‘Foxcatcher’ premiere on a very windy evening during Cannes Film Festival on Monday (May 19) in Cannes, France.

The actress remained graceful despite the gale-force winds sending her asymmetrical Elie Saab Spring 2014 Couture silk mousseline gown billowing in the wind, revealing more of her leg than she probably anticipated via the side slit.

I adore the soft lavender hue; she always knows the right colours to bring her alive on the red carpet.

Roger Vivier sandals completed her look.

What a perfect dress to acompany the wind, so dramatic! I actually much prefer this to the Atelier Versace. Gorgeous color!

Beautiful flowing gown, lovely hue – she looks deligtful and softly feminine.

Never been a huge lover of her red carpet looks, but this is just perfection. The colour of the dress teamed with the colour of her hair is just divine.

  8. Yeliz May 19, 2014 at 18:58 #

Love the gown on her, especially the colour, but would’ve preferred a better hairdo. She still looks charming though.

I love this look on her – more than the Atelier Versace one. The color is beautiful and she looks gorgeous in all the shots. The dress looks divine blowing in the wind.

I dont like the colour on her

  15. kane May 19, 2014 at 19:10 #

Again another gown I actually don’t particular care for in cut or colour, but I agree with others: she looks gorgeous in it and even better than last night. Love the dramatic effects that the wind created.

  16. vareka May 19, 2014 at 19:13 #

Such dresses should only be worn on an outdoor event. It’s almost like the wind and the dress are flirting with each other, I mean I’m blown away, just wow.

I’ve been dying to see someone in one of these dresses since I saw the collection and oh, my! Jessica gives me chills, she’s so lovely every time but this dress against her skin and hair = pure perfection!

    Gorgeous color

  20. Larissa May 19, 2014 at 19:35 #

I actually love this gown more than the Versace Atelier one. I think it’s more flattering for her body and the colour is so delicate and ethereal against her skin and red hair ,plus the wind creates such a beautiful effect!

This is a lovely look and the color is divine on her, but IMO it’s a little too similar (in design, fabric, and pastel color) to the Giambattista Valli dress Diane Kruger wore at Cannes 2 years ago.

That’s exactly what I thought too when I first saw it. I thought it was just a different version of the same gown.

  22. Alex V May 19, 2014 at 19:40 #

I don’t like the hairstyle, and the draped detail under the chest makes her look wider, I prefer the atelier Versace look

    • neptunekhz May 20, 2014 at 12:47 #

totally agree with the wrap detail part. thanks to the wind.

  23. justme May 19, 2014 at 19:42 #

That wind helps make some great shots imo.

  24. Christine May 19, 2014 at 19:46 #

Not liking this dress but the color is pretty on her. It looks better in motion

  25. Rebecca Z May 19, 2014 at 19:54 #

This is quite beautiful, but I still the think Armani Prive is the winner.

  26. Courtney Klein May 20, 2014 at 02:15 #

    Gorgeous & fabulous!

  27. EmmaWoodhouse May 21, 2014 at 02:25 #

I don’t like the high slit, but other than that it’s an ethereal, gorgeous look. That color is superb on her, redhead-in-green-level good. And that second, windblown picture–*Swoon*
